This is far too funny !!!!

I love public displays of stupidity. Well.... when they are not all mine.

but it may create caustic fumes that may hurt the lens and or housing.

As a prank (to a willing participant) one was dared to put a drop of CA (cyano acrylate = super glue) on any part of skin then add a drop of excellerant. The chemical reaction probably reached 150 degrees... for a moment or two.

Also if you need a *stronger than concrete* bond use CA and baking soda. The thinner the the CA the better.

WOW!

Never underestimatet the stupidity of people!!

:rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh!!! Poor guy!!! :rotfl2:

What do you expect from a Nikon user?

I am a nikon user and am happy with it. i don't use superglue though!!!!!

The funniest part is that bidding is up to £51.00.

Sad...

and mildly entertaining as well. I just sent the seller a private message informing him that simple nail polish remover will dissolve the CA. However, any excess of NP remover on the LENSE will probably melt the mutlicoating. The bidding ended at 80 pounds this morning. This actually appears to be the rough retail value of an undamaged 70-300 f4-5.6 Nikon lense - G series mostly. In fact, many of these lenses in the UK went for as low as 50 pounds! SO this is evidently an inexpensive lense.

Either way - it was good for a few chuckles.... !
