This is complicated - I need help! :)

Okay, this is complicated and I am not sure what to do.

I have one package reservation for the 4 of us at CBR 2 Queen standard , checking in July 31 w/tickets.
I have one room only reservation for a king bed, no tickets, just under my name (I'll request connecting when I do online check in)

Now I need to add a night to the beginning of our stay. We will want to enter the parks as well on that day. If I change the the dates of the package I will lose my rate for the duration. I can add a day to the King room but that won't accommodate 4 of us.

Do I add the day to the king room and reserve yet another room only for that extra night, and ask for connecting rooms? This will be very confusing for the check in CMs I'm sure.

To further complicate matters all that is left is preferred rooms if I were to add a room only 2 queen room - it would be in the preferred section while the king room is standard.

Depending on what/who the king room is for, this is what I would do.

Book a room only room for that extra night. Add a day to your tickets with the package, you can use tickets bought with a package up to 10 days early.

Then check into the 2 queen and king rooms when the package starts.

Oh, yes, I forgot. I can add an extra ticket day without adding a night's stay. I'll do that for sure but do I add an extra day to the King room in hopes they will give us connecting even though the queen room will be preferred and the King room is standard?

This is what I'll do. We can share the queen for one night. I was just hoping we would luck out and get that King w/ connecting queen for the entire stay.

Do you think if I changed the room only to a package for 1 adult, then modified the package room to be 1 adult + 2 kids, would they then see we are 2 adults with 2 kids and increase our odds to get connecting rooms? Just a thought.

No, it won't help. Twice we were 2 adults and 5 kids under 12 and could not get connecting rooms or even rooms in the same building. Granted both these were not at CBR but your party makeup does not matter. They will do everything they can to grant your request but sometimes it just can't be done.

I"m going to do that. Thanks! We probably won't be able to book FP+ in advance for that added day, correct? Since the package starts the day after.
