If you've been planning to buy and like SSR than this is the time do it. The promotion ends on the 20th so after that you'll be paying $2800 more on a 150 point contract.

I would recommend to first talk to your guide and discuss your present and future vacation plans. For example, I just bought SSR and we plan on staying in June. Since we still have children in college and school, June will be the most probable time for future vacations. I liked the August UY and the idea of so many points right away, but our guide explained that having June trips meant we should look into December UY. That way, if anything came up and we had to cancel our trip, we still had time to bank our points to the next year without losing any. Besides, we still can borrow from next years points for this year, which is what you would be doing too. Talk to your guide.

This is a good deal...the best we will likely see for a while.

Things we know:

--SSR promo ends on Jan. 20.
--SSR points going up to $104 per point in March
--AKV will begin sales within the next few months...the price will be higher than SSR (no, this isn't published anywhere, but it is as certain as things can be...the price for a new resort is NOT going to down....)

While there will likely be other promos and offers in the next few months, this is the best we will likely see for many months.

If you know you want DVC, if you know you like SSR, then yes, this is a good time to buy SSR points.
