OMG, I just got a letter in the mail from our school...

The night before last our kids got home quite late... twenty minutes late as a matter of fact... I was getting very concerned..... When the kids arrived home I asked them why on earth were they 20 minutes late?? Our son told us that the bus monitor got in a fight with the bus driver & he was dropped off on the side of the road... Then some woman got on the bus :confused3 and they came home as normal... Now, for the life of me I asked him three times if the bus monitor was dropped on the side of the road? DS who just turned 11 said yes.... Honestly, I didn't believe it... I just figured, well, I don't know what I figured?

Anyhow, I just got a letter in the mail from our school!! Apparently they DID get in a fight on the bus!! It was over a contract dispute or some such thing.... the driver did the right thing, called the problem in, stopped the bus, the monitor departed & a Senior Manager from the bus company came immediately to act as the bus monitor... The letter says she introduced herself to each child & only one child was visibly upset & that child's parent was told upon drop off of what happened!!

So, this is a switch, they tell the kids to behave, yet it was the old bus monitor that started a fight! Can you imagine???

Oh, I almost forgot, this monitor has been removed from all of our school's busses as a monitor.... my kids will be happy since he was mean to them on several occasions :confused3 Who would have guessed :rolleyes1

It must be the time of the year for bus mishaps. The kids' bus driver since right after Christmas, who I really liked, had some sort of conflict a couple of weeks ago, and is no longer driving the bus.

Apparently the kids were acting up when they first got on the bus, and in front of the principal, the driver told the kids they needed to settle down or he would be writing up the entire bus. The principal said he wasn't going to play that game, and immediately called the bus garage.

You could not pay me enough to drive a bus, unless I could greet each child with a roll of duct tape. :teeth:

That's SO SO true! I can't believe your principal didn't back up the bus driver though! I'd write every one of those chattering kids up too LOL... Oh no, wait, I'd get the duct tape!
