This Is A Poncho-Free Zone!--May 22-29, 2010 PTR (New PTR!!!! 5/31)

I love your Jim Shores!! They must love their new home. DH got me a donald duck one for X-mas. That Duck is my favorite character.
The girls are so cute. I bet Ally must of been excited to dress her AG dolls in their new gear. I know a lot of DISers who are buying AG stuff. I never had to because the girls were already a little to old when they found out about it.
I saw a Bama sweatshirt tonight at Walmart and thought of you. How nice of your DIS friend to send the girls postcards. If I have any postcards left from the trip I could send the girls one. I don't think I do though. But walmart and CVS and all the stores sell Florida postcards that have the princesses, mickey and gang, etc. Since we live in the Disney state. I could try to find one to have come a day before your trip or something to make it real. Let me know.
I love Ratatouie (SP)! We watched it on Sunday night. Another tooth! The tooth fairy is going to go broke!
BTW- I always forget to mention this but I think I have the same red couch as you! They look so much a like. I'll have to post a pic of my couch.

Great update, Becky! The postcards are super cute as are all the Christmas and Alabama pics of the girls! I know you were all very excited last Thursday! :goodvibes The Jim Shore princesses are wonderful! Brent did well! :goodvibes

Thanks Jackie!! Yes, we were THRILLED with BAMA's win--roll tide!! Brent came up with that all by himself--no hints from me!! :goodvibes

Hi Becky!! I was working out at the gym on Friday night and saw that the BAMA/Texas game had an hour to go before it started - I thought of you and was hoping BAMA would win :) We didn't watch it but the next morning I anxiously went on my computer to check on the outcome :cool1: Oooh Disney postcards...I just love Disney mail  I love Snow White and Ariel outfits for the AG dolls...and Ally and Claire are adorable princess: You're getting so close to your trip, yay!!

On Sunday I booked a cruise on the Disney Dream for May 2011 to celebrate Frankie's graduation from college and our three year dating anniversary. We can't wait :cloud9: It's still a while away but I couldn't resist...we got a great rate for booking over a year in advance. I'm still not sure what we're going to do this summer for our two year anniversary...likely stay at a Disney resort for 2 or 3 nights. Disney planning is so much fun, isn't it?? Hope everything has been going well!! :goodvibes

Hi Jessica!! YAY for the cruise!! That is sooo exciting!! I was just talking to my mom tonight about how much fun a Disney Cruise would be!! She was hinting at it for their 40th anniversary in 2011--not sure if she was serious or not!!

Hello!! Love the AG princess outfits. Too cute! Emily just got Julie for Christmas! She's so pretty! She's actually sitting on the couch right now looking at me. Or she's listening to the Dis radio, which is playing. :rotfl:

Love all of the christmas pictures. The princess set with the castle is gorgeous!

Thank you!! Oh--Julie is my favorite--probably b/c she has straight long hair like me and grew up in the 70s. Have you send her banana seat bike? It looks just like the one I had as a kid!!

Becky, the Jim Shore Princesses are beautiful! I LOVE Jim Shore and have been slowly collecting the Disney/holiday ones. What a big score!

Boy, you are lucky that Ally is managing to get her teeth out on her own. My girls just cannot seem to get it. Lucy has had her two front bottom teeth loose since her last checkup in August. They go back next month, but has she pulled it yet? Noooooo! In fact, its not much looser than it was, but the new tooth has completely grown in behind it! I told her the dentist would probably want to pull it - what a bummer to have to have your first loose tooth pulled out by the dentist. :confused3

Thanks Rebecca!! I was sooo pleased with the Jim Shore set that Brent got me!! He picked it all on his own! Oh no--I'm sorry your girls are having such issues getting their teeth to come out--that's no fun having to get your 1st tooth pulled. I thought Ally's 2nd tooth was never going to come out--it had been loose since she lost her 1st tooth back in November.

Great Update!

Thank you!! :goodvibes

Don't feel bad; I just figured out how to organize my subscriptions the other day, too. :goodvibes

How sweet of Katie to send those postcards to the girls! Mickey Mail is always exciting!

Your girls are beautiful, as always! I love the Snow White and Ariel AG outfits! My DD will be getting her first AG doll (the Bitty Baby) for her bday in Feb. DH is already complaining about the cost of it. Little does he know what is in store for him! :lmao:

Yay for another lost tooth!

I am in LOVE  with your Jim Shore Princess set!!! DH has been informed that he is buying it for me next Christmas. :rotfl:

Thanks Julia!! How fun!! Claire got her first Bitty Baby for her birthday back in October and she LOVES it!! I don't mind paying more for the excellent quality of the dolls--they are beautiful!! :lovestruc Yay for your DH wanting to get you the Jim Shore Princess set!! He's a keeper!! :woohoo:

Hi Becky, I love the the Jim Shore Princesses! I just recently started to collect Jim Shore pieces, I can't wait to add more to my collection. I am enjoying your tr, can't wait for more!

Hi!! Thank you!! I'm VERY pleased with my new Jim Shore Princess set!! :lovestruc

OMGoodness! There's so much to comment on!

First of all, :love:LOVE:love: the Jim Shore princesses!!! I will definitely be adding that to the girls (achoooMYooooo) Christmas list! I have always like Jim Shore figurines, but I've never found that "one" that I wanted to buy. Luckily for my DH, I've found those "six" I want to buy!:lmao:

I had no idea you could organize your subscriptions! Man, that saves me all sorts of aggravation! Thanks for the tip.

Where, oh, where can you buy princess outfits for AG dolls? That is the cutest thing ever! I know of several little girls who would love to have those as gifts! That would solve an awful lot of gift-giving questions I have!

I :lovestruc your Tiana bow! I have a friend who makes the bows for my girls, but I've never seen her make one like that! I doubt I'll ever get the time to do it (I've recently taken up sewing, and that is tying up all my free time. Other than DIS-ing, of course!). Do you sell yours? On Etsy or a personal website?

I subbed to this PTR, and I plan to go back and read your others. I also sent you a friend request on FB. :thumbsup2

Just so I can say goodbye with a clear conscious, GO VOLS! But congrats on the National Championship. I sure am glad an SEC team won!

Hi Andrea!!! Welcome to my PTR!! Glad to have you here and thanks for adding me as a friend on FB!! :goodvibes Hee hee!! Glad you like my Jim Shore princesses and that I was able to give you some ideas for next Christmas!! ;) The AG princess outfits are sold in the Disney parks and some are sold online. Here is the link: http://www.disneystore.com/disney-parks/toys/my-disney-girl-dolls/c/303303/. Thank you for the compliments on my bows!! I do sell them--I have a website but it would probably be easier for you to see my group on FB (Allybug Bowtique). I have more photos on FB anyway!! :goodvibes You are sooo funny--another Vols fan--I'll forgive you for that!! Ya'll have had a pretty rough day today!!

What a great update! Beautiful princesses! I love the DIsney AG outfits-will have to remember them for Avery's bday! Those were the first 2 teeth Avery lost-now the upper one is front is loose. Congrats to Bama-my hubby was going around saying "ROLL TIDE" just to be annoying...

Thank Mary!! :goodvibes The Disney AG outfits are a lot of fun. My only complaint was that the Ariel one was pretty tight and hard to get on the doll. Needless to say we won't be taking it off anytime soon!! :lmao: Thanks for the BAMA support!! Roll tide!! :cheer2:

Love all the pictures and that 'Bama won the national championship--they are who I had picked in our football pool. :) :goodvibes

LOVE :lovestruc the Fairy Godmails!! I am hoping that I can get someone to do it for Lilian--she loves  getting mail but rarely does at this age.

The Disney outfits for the AG dolls are adorable!! Did you order them from online? I saw them and have a feeling we will be picking them in the parks for Lilian's birthday since she is getting her first 18 doll while we are down there.

I bet you are SO excited about May and December this year. :) Are you learning lots while reading the TRs?

Thanks Stephanie!! If you would like me to send Lilian a postcard when we're there in May, just let me know!! PM me her full name, your address, and who you'd like it to be from (her favorite character or one you'll be dining with). I'd love to return the favor for someone else!! :goodvibes I ordered the AG outfits from The Disney Store (in the Disney Parks section). Here's the link: http://www.disneystore.com/disney-parks/toys/my-disney-girl-dolls/c/303303/. I'm mostly reading December TRs and YES I'm learning A LOT!!! :thumbsup2 I think I've subsribed to 34 so far!!! :surfweb: I'm a bit obsessed with learning as much as I can about Christmas at Disney!!

What a great update!

I love the Jim Shore princesses! So awesome! Love the AG girls in their Disney garb.

Congrats to Ally for losing her tooth! Sam gets so excited everytime he loses one.

Thanks Megan!! Yeah--Ally was sooo excited about her 2nd tooth. When we got to church on Sunday morning she was smiling as big as she could to make people notice her new space!!

I love your Jim Shores!! They must love their new home. DH got me a donald duck one for X-mas. That Duck is my favorite character.

Thank you Barbara!! I LOVE them and LOVE how they look all set up in my house on their castle!! :lovestruc You saw a BAMA sweatshirt in Florida?! Wow!! That's awesome!! Roll tide! Oooh--that would be cool to have a postcard come so close to out trip--maybe congratulating Ally on her Kindergarten graduation and come celebrate with us in Disney?! (we leave the day after she gets out of school) You have the same couch?! Good taste!! :thumbsup2 Post a pic when you get a chance!! :goodvibes

Super cute update. Love all the American Girl outfits.:thumbsup2

Thanks Brooke!! :goodvibes

Nice to see that all the postcards made it. :)

I've been eyeing that Beauty and the Beast tea set for a while, and since our closest Disney Store is closing in two weeks and is having a mega-sale, I'm going to check it out on Saturday and probably will be making that purchase.

Looks like you guys had a great Christmas! :goodvibes

Thank you so much for posting the link to the AG costumes! I just have to get some for Madison. She is absolutely loving her new Just Like You doll we got her for Christmas. (she named her Olivia which is her middle name) I know she would LOVE the Tink outfit (she's our fav!).

Thanks MeMom!! I ended up getting that tea set online on Black Friday for $15 when it was originally $40!!! :woohoo: Claire LOVES it!! Everytime we went into the Disney Store she wanted to push it all over the store--I knew it would make a great Christmas gift for her!! I hope you can find one! Is the Opry Mills store the one that you're referring to? We shop there all the time when we come to Nashville! I hate that it's closing! :sad2:

No problem, Meghan!! I'm glad she loves her JLY doll!! :goodvibes I bought the Tink outfit, too but I have it put away for her birthday (she wants a Tinkerbell themed birthday this year)!!

Hi Becky :wave2: I'm waaaaaaay late to this party, but wanted to come over and check out your PTR. I didn't read every post, but I think I hit enough highlights to catch up.

You have a BEAUTIFUL family!!

Congrats on the National Championship! I thought it was funny that you said you had to leave the room in the 4th quarter, I felt like Alabama would win from the beginning, but as soon as Texas' quarterback went out on that first drive, the game was over - nothin' to worry about! We (meaning Oklahoma) had a home & home series with Alabama several years ago and we had a great time with all the Bama fans that came here for that game, very nice people!

Great update Becky. :thumbsup2 Looks like your girls had a great Christmas.

I remember those AG dolls. A funny story--each of my girls had one (they weren't super popular when they were your girls ages, so they were both older when they got theirs...but anyway...) This past fall, we were having a yard sale---or Disney pre-sale as my DH calls it. It seems like I have one every time before we go to Disney. I call it Disney Bucks! ;) Anyway..I had put out some of the girls' old dolls and barbies, and somehow, Rachel's AG doll was in the box. At the end of the sale, I just mark everything FREE---just get it off my property, so I don't have to deal with taking it back in the house or to a donation site. I hear this mom say to a young girl, "Oh, honey, I'm not sure they meant to sell this..." I look over, right as Rachel walks out, and sure enough, they are holding her AG doll. :scared1::scared1:

Rachel goes running over there, and very nicely explains that this doll should NOT be in the sale pile. OOPS!!

So lesson learned...no matter how old your girls are, they will not want to get rid of those dolls! :goodvibes

You know I love the girl's Alabama outfits :banana::thumbsup2. The AG outfits are the cutiest things too. Amanda liked reading the AG stories when she was younger. She pulled all of her old dolls out of her closet last week and listed several dolls on ebay. She had the Holiday Barbies for about 10 years or so and sold quite a few of them. It seems like yesterday that Amanda was 5 and now she will be graduating college in 4 months.

Thank you Barbara!! I LOVE them and LOVE how they look all set up in my house on their castle!! :lovestruc You saw a BAMA sweatshirt in Florida?! Wow!! That's awesome!! Roll tide! I think my Donald Jim Shore might want the rest of the fab 5 to keep him company. Collecting Jim Shores as a hobby could have a big price tag. Blame DH for starting it.
I did. They had all the Florida teams and then all of a sudden BAMA. I'm so excited about the Jets. :cheer2:
No problem. Just PM me your Addy when it gets closer.
I love the couch. It's so comfy.
Yesterday a light bulb went off. I still have thousands of Disney pictures and it's annoying to upload them all if I just have 5 to put on the DIS. So, yesterday I came up with the idea to take out the memory card, take the pictures, and then upload it. :thumbsup2

very cute update Becky...I enjoyed all the cute pictures of the girls and the AG stuff...

Mae got the matching doll/girl pj's for Ruthie...it's just a little chilly right now for "silk" jammies ;)

the Disney clohtes for the dolls are some of our favorites too...I love the snow white one, so cute!

J~

Hi! :wave2: I just came across your PTR and am still catching up from the beginning. I just wanted to stop by and say hi and that I think I'll be subbing in for more! You guys are such a cute family!

I know this is your May PTR, but have you started planning your Dec. trip at all? Like where you want to stay, what Christmas-y things you want to do? Or are you going to tackle one trip at a time?

BTW- thanks so much for the link to the doll outfits! I ordered Tink today for DH's niece. Her BDay isn't until March, but I wanted to order some after-Christmas sale stuff anyway, so I just added that to the list. Did you know if you go through www.shopathome.com to place your order, you get 5% cash back? I ordered a lot of Christmas stuff through that site, and I've gotten a pretty good cash rebate.

From one VB lover to another, I love your hipster! That's one of my favorite bags (the new Saddle Up is probably my #1 fave- it was my "push present" when I delivered my youngest DD). I carry the mini-hipster in the parks. It doesn't hold much, but we have to have a diaper bag, so everything else goes in there.

Cute photos! I am a Jim Shore fan to be sure -- didn't realize that he did so many Disney themed pieces! :thumbsup2

I bet May is a wonderful time to travel, weather is probably close to perfect!

Hi Michelle!!! I'm so glad you're joining in on my PTR!! :welcome: Thank you for the kind words!! Yes--we were VERY excited about the BAMA win!! :cheer2: I thought BAMA was going to win, too until the 2nd half when the backup quarterback scored several times and our big lead was disappearing--sooo stressful!!

Great update Becky. :thumbsup2 Looks like your girls had a great Christmas.

I remember those AG dolls. A funny story--each of my girls had one (they weren't super popular when they were your girls ages, so they were both older when they got theirs...but anyway...) Thanks!! My girls DID have a wonderful Christmas!! :santa: YIKES on the AG doll almost being sold!! Glad that Rachel came out just in time!! I still have all of my Madame Alexander dolls that I collected as a child. They are just too special to get rid of!

You know I love the girl's Alabama outfits :banana::thumbsup2. The AG outfits are the cutiest things too. Amanda liked reading the AG stories when she was younger. Thanks Dana!! :goodvibes Oh wow!! I bet she made some $$$$ selling her dolls! Time sure does fly, doesn't it? That's the biggest thing I've noticed about getting older. Things happen in the blink of an eye. Sometimes I wish I could just pause time!

I think my Donald Jim Shore might want the rest of the fab 5 to keep him company. Collecting Jim Shores as a hobby could have a big price tag. Blame DH for starting it.

Thanks Julie!! :goodvibes Awww!! Don't you just LOVE the matching pajamas?! Yeah--silk jammies would be quite cold right now! Brrrr!! I was so excited when they started offering some of the Disney clothes online!!

Preach it, sister. I go back and forth between "over it" and STINKIN' FURIOUS!:furious:

I know what you mean!! A LOT of people around here are INFURIATED!! Shoot--I'd be mad too if our coach left after being there only 1 year! :confused3

Hi! :wave2: I just came across your PTR and am still catching up from the beginning. I just wanted to stop by and say hi and that I think I'll be subbing in for more! You guys are such a cute family!

Hi!! And :welcome: to my PTR!!! Glad you're here!! :goodvibes

Yes, I have started planning my December trip, too!! We'll probably stay at the Poly again--we just LOVE the Poly and it's so nice being on the monorail!! I've subscribed to about 34 TRs from this past Christmas and I'm making a list of things we'll definitely want to do (Candlelight Processional, resort tour of the decorations, MVMCP, see the storytellers in Epcot, etc.).

Yay!! I'm glad you were able to order Tink!! Thanks for the link to that rebate site! I'll have to check that out!! :thumbsup2

Thanks!! I love my hipster as well!! My friend just got a mini-hipster and I was checking it out yesterday!! I'm wondering if I should get one for our trip or just use my hipster?! Brent carries a backpack into the parks AND we have a bag for Claire. What would you suggest?
