Thanks! I'm usually really trusting on these types of things, but after getting burned, DH is really iffy! I just emailed her my order! I can't wait to see them!!!

Becky, love all your new goodies for the trip! Its so hard when you love a resort to venture outside of it, but I think you made a great choice for the holidays! And I love that your Christmas trip is before Christmas! I don't think I could ever be away from home for the holidays (I would miss the visiting with relatives and holiday dinners and our home!) but I think it would be awesome to spend time there before Christmas day! If John wasn't a teacher, we would def go when you are going!

Love the "two-fer" trip report that you are doing! LOL!

Ohh WL is so pretty! Hmm. Maybe I should stay at WL instead of AKL! Decisions! Decisions! Did you guys decide on APs yet? It pays to get APs for you, Brent, Ally, and just get claire a magic your way in December. They probably have some king of AP discounts for WL that week.

I did a lot of research about WL here on the DIS before making our ressies. There's a thread on the resorts board all about WL. You'll learn more than you ever thought possible! I would suggest you start there and do some reading. That's how I decided which room type I wanted to request. Yes, those are standard rooms. We had a view of the pool and beautifully landscaped grounds. We were in room 4069.

Hiya Becky! I am all caught up. I LOVE all the cute clothes you have for both trips. I actually just ordered the Minnie Bling line--they were not on sale at the actual Disney Store a friend and I drove to a couple weeks ago. I am so excited to get some--LOVE that line. Alas, the new Minnie line is pretty cute too.

WL--ahhh my dream resort. It will be soooo gorgeous at that time. Did you talk to A about APs? I imagine with getting two trips, over 11 days it would be a better route to go. Plus, who knows--maybe you can sneak in another trip in May before you passes expire.

Are you doing an customs this go around from Etsy or did your experience totally turn you off? I ordered a custom dress for Lilian to wear at the BBB--I cannot wait to get it!! Other than that, I am still thinking of trying my own hand at the pillowcase dresses and such. They seem relatively easy to make. Girl clothing is so much easier to make than doll clothing! I am a tad worried that all the clothing that DGM bought her is going to be too big. I figure I will try things on her in June/July and go from there. There are several items (the first batch of clothing I posted on my PTR) that I believe are smaller size, at least a few of them.

I did talk to A about APs but I'm still confused about them. She said that we wouldn't be able to use the DDP unless everyone in the room purchases at least a 1 day ticket, to turn the "room only" reservation into a "package". And something else to think about is that in May we son't have to pay for Claire but in December we will. I need to talk more to A about it.

I will be looking on Etsy for some customs and probably ask a good friend of mine to make some (NOT the lady from last time). My mom is also making them 1 outfit.

Hi Becky - WOW!! I had so much to catch up on. It was only a few days since I last read as well - that reminds me - I must catch up on my PTR!!

The clothes you have already got are adorable - I have put Amber a couple of T-shirts but that is it so far - I must get cracking.

I love that you all have matching PJ's - me and Amber do to!!

WL - fantastic - I bet it will be so Christmassy! You will love that time of year. It is when we usually go so Summer for us this year is going to be a huge difference! You must be sure to visit the Gingerbread House at the GF - amazing - and the smel ... !!

Thank you Sara!! We cannot wait to stay at WL!! Yes, we will be sure to make a trip to the GF to see the gingerbread house!! I also want to go to some of the other resorts to see their decorations. I think we might plan some ADRs around that!!

Hey Becky! Since I saw you debating the whole AP and dining plan thing, I thought I would let you know the little bit that I know on the subject.

You CAN get the dining plan if you are using an AP rate on the room. It's only if you are doing a package, that you would need to get 1 day tickets. But a lot of times, the AP discounts are just as good as getting a package deal.


So, if you take your tickets in May and upgrade them to APs, then you can use them in December and book a room only with your AP using the AP rates and add the dining plan. Don't know if that helps or confuses you more, but thought I would chime in.

Well, as far as I know (and someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), if she is on your reservation and you are booked under a room-only reservation, she should be able to be on the dining plan as well. As for her ticket, I would just get that seperately from Disney, or buy from undercovertourist or mapleleaftickets (both authorized disney ticket sellers and I've used both). The AP rates don't come out too far in advance, so that's the only kicker. I would think for November, AP rates might come out in August/Sept. I'm not sure...there is a site you can pull up historical discount info to see when AP rates have historically been released.

Hey Becky, sorry I haven't been around lately. I have been give out since I went back to work. I could tell I was out of shape from not exercising for 2 months, I have shin splints now

Just to weigh in on the APs we are doing the AP rate for May and adding the dining plan. We love having our APs and we will renew them when we go this May.
