Just wanted to pass this along to anyone looking for a great lightweight stroller.

I just purchased two of these from Target.com for $29.99 each. They're called Combi Strolee. Comes in red, blue or grey.

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.htm...698553-8401451?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B00063FCW2

I applied this code TC5THANKS2U4 and my total came to $72.04.

For two Combi strollers, I thought that was great! The reason I'm so hot on Combi is because when my kids were babies, we had a Combi that we had received as a gift and it was awesome!

We don't use strollers often now, but I think we may need a couple for our 5 and 6 1/2/ year olds just as backups. They hold up to 45 pounds each and our kids only weigh in the 35 pound range.

I had considered getting a couple of cheapy umbrella strollers but couldn't find any that had good reviews. We also thought about renting, but I thought, hey, for $72 for two strollers, we can get some use out of them and resell them!

Hope this tidbit is of help to some of you.

How does it fold down? It looks just like my Combi Travel Savey DX, but it is a bit more pricey (they have come down a lot). Does it fold like a book, or in on itself as the travel savey does? I must say we have taken our combi on many a trip and it has served us well. The basket is mostly usesless though, hang a bag of the back (or sides with clips.) We also hang a small soft cooler of the back (low down, it does't make it tippy.)

BTW, we are from R.O! Hi!

I gotta believe it folds exactly the same as other Combis do.

I probably should have prefaced this by saying I'm assuming that this will rank up there with other Combi strollers.

But considering I've always heard good things about Combis and because I liked the one I had so much, I'm banking on really liking this one.

The one we received as a gift was $199 and we really got a great deal of use out of it. It was just so lightweight and folded so easily, it was great for taking on planes.

When these Combis arrive, I'll post again to let everyone know my thoughts.

I looked at this one online at Wal-Mart and was thinking about getting it for my DD princess: who will be 4 when we go.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2123437

It has a mesh cup holder (high on my list of needs!), canopy, 2 position reclining seat, and storage. I also like that it doesn't have the bar in front. She can get in and out on her own and not have to be lifted out. We have a cheap umbrella stroller but I want one with all these features for WDW. I tried to look at one at my Wal-Mart this morning but they were out. I want DD to try it out for size before I buy one. By the way, it's only $19.72.

Definately have your DD sit in this model to try it before you buy it. I tried one just like this at Kmart and it was so hard to push! My DD is 4 and weighs around 42 lbs. I ended up getting a Chicco Caddy stroller at Target today on clearance for $24.98. It pushes and steers so easily...I love it! The only downside is it does not have storage underneath. I may end up buying a bag that hangs from the handles though.

Also, there is a stroller from a company called Kidco. We bought this online (don't remember the site) before our last trip and it was fantastic. It was a little pricey ($150 I think) but it was well worth it, it holds up to a 50lb child and it folded and unfolded very very easily. Came in very handy for getting on and off buses.

I bought the following at Babies R Us:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...F83G8C2ARO7P&vi=pictures&img=14#more-pictures

It is pricy at 49.99 but is very lightweight and easy to transport. It folds up like an umbrella stroller, but is as sturdy as a regular stroller. When folded up, it has a carry strap to put it over your shoulder. When I bought it, I had the disney bus system in mind. I can picture how easy it will be to bring this off and on the busses.

Just wanted to report back...I'm the one who wrote that I ordered two of these strollers (signed on as igitur)....and I just received them and they're great! A bit heavier (this one is about 12 lbs.) than the more expensive Combi we used to own but every bit as nice and sturdy! They hold a child up to 45 lbs. and they fold up VERY easily!

I'm glad I ordered these, having used them in the past...I think they're well worth $29.99!

Great, that is good to know. We got our Combi for a good price of $100 a few years ago, so 30 is great. Very good for anyone who wants a combi, but does't want to pay the high prices.

Still too bad the baskets are mostly useless!

DisneyPHD,

I was really surprised at how sturdy this one is! And it does fold like the others too..I really liked that feature.

You're right about the basket though....not great especially for bulkier items but I think we'll be glad to have these with us when the kids get weary of walking :D

btw....I sure am ready to leave this cold snowy stuff for Florida...have you had enough of this Michigan weather too? :sad2:

OH MY GOD YES! I have had enough. We are in the thick of it now, soo far since summer, so long until it comes again. That is why I told my husband I didn't really care too much about money and such, just as long as we could take one vacation to somewhere warm every winter. DVC is great that way! We are going 5 weeks from tmw and I am so looking forward to it, but then it occured to me I have a lot to do now. (finding clothes that fit for the girls, planing packing, etc.. ) But to be honest that is a big part of the fun and give me something to look forward to on days like today. (that isn't too bad really, but I hear more snow is coming!) I guess you do too, or you wouldn't get that excited about strollers like I do.

Have you considered the stroller conecters. They sell them most places (like target, Babbies R US Burlington Coat Factory) for $10 works great to conect 2 a like stroller. I used them last year when friends had the same combi as us. We looked a litle too cute walking around WDW in macthing strollers.
It does make it rather wide, but not back for outside like at WDW, and you can take them apart real easy if you want.

One thing I always found with the cheaper strollers that have the canopy that fold over the top into place was that my DD 's head would push up into the canopy. Tall girl. Very uncomfy. How is it on your strollers?

Do you think I need to bring a stroller for my 7.5 year old in June? She weighs 47 now and probably won't be too much bigger. I know that my 4 year old will want one, well I will want one for him...

It has to be based on your child. Will you 7 yr old be the type of kid that will be able to walk it? We take one for my 5 1/2 almost 6 yr old and willprobably continue until at least december when she will be 6 1/2 ands decide then. Your 7 yr old still weighs a few pound less than my 5 1/2 so maybe he/she is small for their age? MAybe it woudl be a good idea because seeing your youngest in one may make the oldest decide he/she could not live without one. What is easier for your family harmony?

DisneyPhD,

Thanks for the stroller connector tip! I've considering getting one of those...for 10 bucks, it might just be worth it.

Looks like you're a DVC member too? We joined in February 2003 following our first Disney Cruise and our first trip home to BCV was in November, 2003. Our next trip is right around the corner...Feb 9 - 19...followed by a trip next Thanksgiving! I'm with you...we joined because it was so nice to have something to look forward to every year in the way of warm weather vacations! We love it!

BTW...my husband grew up in Royal Oak...we're off of Woodward and Square Lake Rd. now. Small World :D

Too funny. We are right down Woodward, at 12 mile. I grew up in RO too, class of 1989 at Kimball. We head out that way often since we have a (very small and old) boat on Cass Lake. Still it is lots of fun in the summer. My DD doctors office is right over there. We wish we owned at BCV, it is my favorite resort, but the guide talked us into VWL in 2002 before BCV opened. (we should of held out, oh well.) Still we have been able to stay at BCV a few times (this next trip right after you get home, Feb 25th to March 4th.) We haven't had a hard time trying out other resorts and VWL is very nice too. We LOVE DVC! I can't wait. I could stand to be there right now. (at least we aren't trying to fly out of here tmw.)

Wow...I hear lots of good things about VWL...my husband has been there (did a radio show from there when he worked on the Dick Purtan Show) and he said it was pretty nice. But we do love SAB at BCV...especially since the kids are still small.

Are you a Trader Joe fan like I am? I love that store! Wish it were closer.

I'm glad we're not flying out tmw either...sounds like we'll be snowed in all day!

It is closer to me, really close like walking distance. I wasn't too fond of it at 1st, since it messed up the traffic patterns around here, and I could get fresh produced and meat across the street at Westborn. Then I was talking to a friend who really liked it and gave the store another try. I LOVE THAT PLACE now. I am in there a few days a weeks since it is the closest store to me. Great prices too.

Now you have me wondering who your hubby is. We can't wait to get to SAB, DD had so much fun there when she was 23 months old. I am hoping the baby enjoys it too. She loves water. The time at SAB was the best of the whole trip. :Pinkbounc Are you staying there next trip?

We are staying there next time around as well. We're getting two units so that my parents and aunt and uncle can stay in one and then my cousin, his wife and two little girls will stay in our unit with us. I'm really looking forward to that! My husband used to do characters on Dick's show..."Kasey Kasem, White Fang, Sol the lawyer, James Brown...etc. I used to do traffic reports on the show...that's how my husband and I met.

Now he's a SAHD and I work full-time.

Maybe we can consider swapping with each other if we ever need to, since I know it's harder getting BCV and VWL at the 7 month windows.

That is too funny. I remember those voices. I bet he has fun doing voice for your kids. Story time at your house must be a blast! What sation do you work for now? I am guessing you have to get up rather early.

That sounds good. Try out VWL sometime, but I still like BCV the best. I am looking forward to trying SSR some time too. If you ever want to take a non WDW trip try Vero Beach sometime. It is great for familes and young kids.
