This has been a tough year for our mothers--UPDATE ON PG 3

Most of you know that my mother had her stomach removed because of a cancer and almost died over the summer. She is currently a resident of a nursing home because she requires a lot of real nursing care, right now, that I cannot provide.

This morning at 1am my husband's mother fell and broke her hip She is having surgery at 8am tomorrow morning. He is on his way to Houston, driving straight through from Michigan but I don't think he can get there before 8am.

This has been a rough year for our moms It is so difficult to watch our parents grow older and suffer things like this-- it's just so difficult
