The questionnaire that applicants for the new Obama administration is required to fill out includes:

"Do you or any one in your family own a firearm?"

They are then instructed to list any and all guns and gun registration.

I think it very smart for Obama to seek out and include people in his administration who are gun owners...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

No wonder gun sales are up 300 percent in two weeks.

I can't believe some of the questions on that thing. I would never seek a job (especially a political one) that wanted to know half that information.

It's NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!!

I can't believe that questionnaire doesn't violate some labor discrimination law.

i dont have a problem with it. no scandals please.

He wants to ensure he has a scandal-free adminstration. Seems like a smart move to me. I think that when you are working for the President, it's not shocking that they would want to know whether or not you own guns.

I don't get the connection. Are guns scandalous?? Will gun owners be disqualified??

Question 233: What type of cigars do you purchase? Do you smoke them?:scared1:

I especially love the part asking about "questionable" associations.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Hell, he couldn't work for himself!!

Nope, guns aren't scandalous at all. I should have clarified. I meant that the application is absurdly long and ridiculous because he/his team want to cover their bases (and you-know-whats) to make sure that they don't hire anyone that brings the potential for scandal into his administration. I think that is wise. That said, I also think that many of the other questions on the application are a lot more intrusive than the gun ownership question, which is why I was implying that I didn't see it (the gun question) as a big deal.

Unless he plans on hiring bunny rabbits, there's no chance of having zero potential for scandal.

;) I agree. And I shouldn't have spoken for his motives, I was just speculating. Maybe "minimize" scandal would have been a better way of phrasing it.

Did anyone see the word, "Clinton" hand written in the left hand column under number 31? It asks if any records have been withheld and why.

That's quite a list of questions to be answered. I'm not sure he has any right to know aliases on message boards/blogs.

OH I like question 14 about diaries and revealing any potentially embarrassing information in them.:lmao:
Suuuuure, I bet everyone applying will be 100% honest on that question.

Side question: Is this questionairre unique, or is this a typical form every administration uses?

It also asked whether the guns caused any property damage or physical injury.

I wonder how many cars caused car accidents. I always thought it was drivers!
