I have to go here to talk about this, because no one else in my life cares about Disney as much as ya'll do ;)

Our Disney money comes from what I make. I'm a stay at home Mama, but I run a mommy website that brings in a bit of cash flow. As of today I am officially 1/3 of the way saved up for our next DISNEYLAND vacation!!! SO SO exciting!

It just makes it so much more fun when I can check off in my brain what is now 'paid for.' For example, right now I can fully pay for our flights and one of our 5 day Disney passes.

So now it's just our week long accommodations, 2 more Disney passes and then spending money for food and souvenirs!

That's all. I just needed to share with someone who'd care ;)

Woohoo!

The first time we took our girls to DL, every single dime was saved by me working overtime. Every check I'd figure out how much extra was there over and above my regular take home, and to the penny I'd put that much in a special Disney account. Not much other than Disneyland would have enticed me to go to work 1-2 hours early most days!

Keep saving - it'll add up before you know it!

Yay ! So exciting! I'm currently about 90% paid in my upcoming December trip and I'm so excited! It's still over 5 1/2 months away! Way too far away!

Thanks ladies!

We have a long wait ahead of us... almost 1.5 years to go. We just got back from a trip last month and we are hoping to upgrade from a townhouse to a HOUSE in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Otherwise, we'd be heading there the end of the year again ;)

And it's SO true. Nothing would make me work harder then a trip to Disney! Have fun on your upcoming trip Dede!

Hi Happy Mommy!

Just wanted to add that the rewards that having the Disney Chase cards provide are substantial. We got $933 in Disney Dollars/GiftCards/Onboard credit by having our 2 accounts in just over a year of having them! Our cruise was half price because of these and our tickets were $175 off and the rewards kept coming because we booked our Disney stuff on it (2% back in rewards) and that gave us $130 to spend on nice dining at the parks.

I've been back just over a month and am starting over for rewards and already have $40 (next statement is getting ready to kick over in a few days and I'll have about $25 more), which are going towards my 2015 Disneyland trip.

To top it off, you get perks in the parks (like exclusive meet and greet character photos, discounts on some dining and merchandise, photos etc), and you can get 6 months no interest finance on their vacation packages.

LOVE me some Disney cards! Like you, my part of our income is sort of supplementary and helps us with our 'fun expenses' such as 3 cruises (2 of which were Disney) all with WDW in about 14 months!

I've alllmmossttt got everything paid off, and for the next year and a half, every power bill, grocery, gas and so forth are going on those cards (and our Delta card, we only need 12k more airmiles to have airfare covered.)

How can you beat $933?!

I'm currently selling items on eBay to help pay for my AP renewal. Its the only thing that I can do to pay for it. (Thanks for the price hikes Disney!) LOL

Thanks for sharing! I'm actually Canadian... so I'm not sure I can even get a chase card? We are planning to get an Alaska Airlines rewards card. Signing up will give us one free flight and then we'd get a companion flight each year too. ;)

Aw, I'm not sure. I think probably not. ? :( BUT definitely those air cards are gold, we used to get the companion flights, and then it went to a $99 companion flight (which was still great) but I'm not sure if they do that anymore.

At least being able to get priority loading and free bags is a plus.

Awesome! Our next trip is being funded by my disability insurance settlement I'll get for having a baby! Although that will never happen again so it's a once in a life time opportunity!

As Canadians we cannot get the chase card, I looked into it:sad1:

We to are saving again for 2016!! The kids do not know about this trip (their 4th, my 6th) But I have a budget binder and keep putting money away for it and checking things off bit by bit!!

To all you dreamers and savers.....Keep at it!! :cheer2:

A magical time is in our future!!

I love the title of this post! I'm so happy I found the DISboards because it really is a great community of people and it's so true that the people who come here DO understand. :) I think my friends and family inwardly (and sometimes outwardly) roll their eyes when I start talking about my plans for my next trip to DLR. I love reading about everyone's plans and trip reports and ideas on the DIS.

I just went to your blog and clicked on some of your sponsors.
$$$$ for Disney always worth some clicks. Good luck!

Thats awesome.. Keep up the hard work.. hope it goes really fast for you.. :)

I am saving so that I can surprise my son and husband for their birthdays next year... :)

Yes. Totally why I love this site too!!!

I know what you mean! I started a at home business to raise funds to take the girls for a Christmas trip back home to Canada via DL! Goal :santa: 2015

I know what you mean! I work PT from home as well, and the bonus commission money that I earn goes towards savings and Disney (we don't put it into our monthly budget), so I get REALLY excited when I have a good month of sales, like this month!
