As an update, I emailed pics to just about everyone local on my email list. One of the families from my Sunday school class is interested. They're supposed to come see him today. Hopefully he'll have a new loving family today. If that doesn't work out I'm going to PM Aimeedyan and WebmasterKathy. So beware!

ETA: There are about 12 signs around the neighborhood. We haven't gotten a single call!

That dog in the DISers signature.. I could have sworn that was a Basenji which is bigger than your little guy but I'm probably wrong since Basenji's are kinda rare breeds (although really cool - did you know they can't bark?)

Well, the family from my Sunday school class took him - on a trial basis. He was very protective of me and slow to warm up to them. He snapped at them at first, but was somewhat friendlier 45 mins later when they left. I'd forgotten that it took him some time to warm up to us, and that he had snapped at DD11 (I didn't find that out til a day or so later. He would have been so out of here). I told them to bring him back if they decide he can't stay. I sure hope he'll make a good pet for them. He really is the sweetest little dog.

I told DH that if we get him back he's most likely ours, unless one of my fine cyber-friends wants to give him a chance .

He looks very much like a Rat Terrier my mom used to have. I am an animal lover, but that was the most miserable creature I have ever encountered. Pooped in the house daily, barked all the time, ate everyones dirty socks & undies, bit my baby DD, ran away constantly, loved being spanked, got hit by a car & just got up & kept on running. Hateful little thing. The shelter Mom adopted her from didn't even want to take her back, said they had too much trouble keeping Rat Terriers in homes.

To the OP: I'm glad "yours" doesn't seem to be like that!

I'll probably get flamed, but this is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time! Did he like leather, whips, and chains, too?
