This doesn't look like New Orleans...

Just joined to read your trip report, the mention of Aspie in your profile intrigues me, my godson who is 22 is an Aspie and struggling with it daily. His favorite place on earth is WDW and he is joining my Mom and I for an impromptu trip there in May. Disney is a great place for him, the cast member are great at listening to him, and no one makes fun if he has a hard time explaining himself. Will continue to watch for more updates to your trip, loved the pix of the flowers, can't wait to see them in person

My DS (11) has Aspergers. He was diagnosed relatively early and has been making steady strides, but still has bad days. Fortunately, we've learned who we can and can't trust to be around him, and my wife can stay home to be available for meltdowns. WDW is a wonderful place for children with issues. He makes a quantum leap every time we go. On this board, the disABILITIES thread is a good one with some very knowledgeable and supportive folks. The Amazing Race has an Aspie on it right now. He's kicking butt and they've done a good job of accurately presenting the challenges that he faces. Good luck to your godson!

So who won the segway races? :rotfl:

Who do you think? But I let her win...

Cool Pictures of everything for the flower and garden festival! My mom and I usually go to Disney during the week of my spring break so we have also been here for this festival! However, I hadn't been there for the flower and garden festival since 2008 so I liked seeing your pictures of what all had changed. The faries look sooooo cool!!!!! I don't know much about the faries but they seem like they are extremely popular.

The Fairies are replacing the princesses with the 6-10 year old crowd. In fact, Disney recently announced that it was not going to make princess movies for a while. :confused3

I think I would like Victoria and Alberts!:thumbsup2 Too bad I wont have the opportunity to try it anytime soon! :confused3 The segway tour looks like a lot of fun too...once again..too bad I wont get to try it anytime soon :rotfl2: I will just have to enjoy things through your perspective!~

I did not hear that they were not going to make any more princess movies for a while...Lauren will be so disappointed..she is really not into the fairies at all.

I love the F&G pics! Gorgeous.
I'm sad to hear that the fairiesnare replacing princesses. I enjoyed Tangled a lot!

An adults only trip with you, me, Shari and Eileen? Might need some serious Disney magic to make that happen!

another great update and pics doc!:thumbsup2

Thanks for checking back, Dave!

Think I saw this on wdwinfo news. I enjoyed Tangled too (and so did my boys). Not a girly girl movie.

Maybe you need to go ahead and book that cruise and we can do Palo on the ship :rotfl2: I think a WDW trip with you and Eileen would be Awesome!

I'm running behind on all of the TRs I'm following, but I'm slowly catching up. Today: YOURS!
V&A looks.....interesting. I've never been one for large plates with itty bitty bits of food with swirls of sauce. I took Bambi out to a fancy place like that years ago - I think it was our second anniversary. They converted an old bank and called a month or two in advance and requested the "vault" table. Aside from that, the only think we can remember from that night was hitting the McDonald's Drive Thru on the way home. We just spend over $100 on dinner and we were starving!

We did the Segway Tour too. It was a great time and I'd love to do the off road version over at Fort Wilderness!
