Bomb diggity? That’s probably what you are thinking. But I had no other words to describe how I feel about my upcoming trip to Disney world.

I’m Ty, and I will be celebrating yet another birthday at Disney. When? December 3-10. Where am I staying? Pop Century. Am I going on the dining plan? I don’t know yet, depends if Disney extends their free dining like they did last year. That would be the bomb diggity!

So…more about me, heheheh
ptrpics004.jpg

I am turning 39 this December. I have celebrated my 37th and 38th birthday at Disney. It’s becoming the norm.

I have 2 kids, my DS is 18 and graduating this year, he is joining the Coast Guard this summer.

My DD is a sophomore in HS right now and will be turning 16 this summer.

I roughly have 2 years left before my house is empty of kids.

I work at Bed, Bath and Beyond as a customer service associate, or we can be honest and say I am a glorified cashier.

I love scrap booking, reading, music and anything or anybody that can make me laugh. I love to laugh.

Originally I was planning a trip to Disney with my DH this September, he finally agreed to give it another try, his first trip was in April 06 and he didn’t do so well, he had several hubby melt downs, but he is older now, a little more wiser and his mind has opened up a bit more, so why not try it again?

Well I had an injury last July, I fell of a ladder at work and broke my tibia and my fibula plus tore my ACL and some other things, I am still having trouble. I went ahead and did my Disney trip last December and my leg gave me all kinds of trouble,
alldis09080.jpg

No that's not a turkey leg, it's my leg.
and now that I am still having pain and the Dr. thinking I would need surgery we pushed our trip back a year.

I couldn’t wait that long for Disney so I made plans to go this January, DH can’t go in the winter at all because of his trap line, so I invited a friend to go.
She really wants to go for her birthday which is in December, so for the 3rd year in a row I am going in December. I don’t mind December at all, it’s a great time to go.
I have since found out that I do not need surgery on the ligaments, just surgery to remove scar tissue at the most, I will heal so much faster, Dh and I could have done Disney this Sept after all but we decided to keep things the way they are, yay! for me, I get 2 trips out of it.

So who is going with me?

Laura, whom I will refer to as Lo.
needsdisc046.jpg

Lo made her first trip to Disney world this past April, she went over Easter Weekend, the brave soul! But she had a great time, she was able to do everything on her family’s list plus some just by utilizing the fast pass system. (I taught her well)

Lo is a mommy of 5. Which also means she’s a chef, maid, chauffer, counselor and activities coordinator.
Mommy’s only vacations should be written into a contract for us, especially her.

We have taken one vacation together, a few years ago we took a trip to Mi. for my brothers wedding. It was a fun time.
needsdisc052.jpg

The bachelorette party. I don't remember much from that night, but I was told we had a great time. I do remember going to Mcdonalds after the party but don't know how I got french fries in my shoes. Some things need to remain a mystery, it's what keeps life so fascinating.

Lo and I had planned a Disney trip together a few years ago, but when it came down to it she just couldn’t see going to Disney for the first time without her family, she was willing to try though, but when I heard her kids talk about Disney and saw the look on Lo’s face, I knew she would have more fun if her first time was with her kids and not me. So we decided to post pone our trip for a few years down the road.

I in the mean time took a trip with my mom, her friend and my long lost BFF of 20 years that I found on my space. (link to that TR is in my siggie below)

And that brings us to now. Not quite 6 months out, I really wanted to wait until 4 months out to start a PTR but that's just me being unrealistic. wait till 4 months, cha!

Lo and I haven't sat down and seriously started planning, We have only gotten as far as booking the package and purchasing our MVMCP tickets. Each of us have a kid graduating so we will start our serious planning mid June once all the grad parties and family leaves town.

As you know, since I have already mentioned it, we are doing MVMCP, we will do that on the 5th of Dec, which is also Lo's birthday. I am not sure which park I want to spend my birthday at, I have celebrated it at MK and Epcot already I am thinking Epcot again, I love Epcot!

We do not have the dining plan, we are hoping for free dining, Disney surprised us all when they extended the dates last year, I pray for a repeat, if not we will be paying oop for our meals, we do not plan to have many TS meals, we don't want to be held down by ADR's, so as of right now we are planning 2 TS meals for our birthdays. Lo said to surprise her and book something she would like.

I'm not sure where I want to eat for my birthday, maybe T-Rex at down town Disney.

We had planned to not get the park hoppers, but are serioulsy reconsidering that idea. How are we supposed to have a bomb diggity trip if we don't park hop?

That's our plans and non plans for now. but I will update, even if all I have for my update is senseless drivel.

I'm so glad that you started your PTR for December. I just read your whole trip report this past weekend, and I have to tell you that I laughed and I cried. I am so happy that you and Marzi found each other.

I am suprising my two youngest kids with a trip December 4th to the 13th, and have started my very first PTR. DH doesn't want to go this time so my parents are going with me.

I can't wait to read about your plans!

Take care of that leg.

Trish

subbing! This sounds great! I can't wait to read more!

Hi Welcome first reader!:cheer2: Once I get to really making plans this PTR hopefully will get a little more interesting

Hi, Trish.
Wow you read my TR. That trip seems like ages ago. I'm starting to scrapbook it now and reliving all the great moments. Thanks for reading it.

How fun, planning a surprise trip, your 2 little ones will be thrilled I'm sure. Are you going to have a big reveal?

Our dates over lap, maybe we'll bump into eachother.

I met Lo a few years back when our daughters cheered together. they first cheered together for Cougars, they had a PR squad and we would do exhibition routines here and there, we also went to Myrtle Beach for a nationals cheer competiton. We didn't really talk all that much, it was when we made the move to an all star squad that Lo and I really hit it off.

I was asst. Coach, really didn't care much for it, too many rules for All Stars. I found myself talking with the parents alot. Lo to me seemed quiet and really reserved, but once we started talking I liked her alot and we started meeting for lunch and shopping dates. She introduced me to my first Fudruckers hamburger, telling me they were the "Bomb Diggity" I laughed so hard, hadn't heard that wording since junior high.

The coach for this squad was my BFF at the time. We had even taken a Disney trip together that year with our daughters. I never in a million years thought that she would throw my daughter Reese under the boss to make herself look better for something disgusting her DD did. It really was pretty sick and I won't go into details. But somehow it got twisted, and even though the majority of the paretns knew the truth, they were afraid to speak up for fear of their daughters losing their "good" spot on the squad. The only person who came to my daughters defense was Lo.

It's so funny because my BFF at the time, when she saw me becoming friends with Lo warned me to stay away from her because she was trouble. I have always believed in deciding things for myself so I didn't listen to her, and here it turns out Lo was the better friend.

Lo and I don't spend every waking minute together, we don't have our daily talks on the phone, we might go a week without talking to eachother. but when we get together we always have such fun, yard sales, shopping, lunches, you name it, we are laughing.

and that is how I know this trip will be the bomb diggity.

Hey, I followed you over from my PTR. You are so lucky... I am dying to take an adult trip but my BFF has 7 kids and her hubby would never let her go away for a week without them... Oh well I can dream one day:cloud9:

Hi! Subbing!

We were at POP for the same time period last year! We had a fantastic time! I know a lot of people complain about POP Warner being that week (along with the parade taping) but we never ran in to any of the PW kids/parents, and we just stayed away from MK on parade taping days.

The longest line we stood in was for TOT, and that was because it broke down right before we were supposed to get in to the elevator. Our reservations were never crowded and everything was fantastic! We had some cruddy weather a few days, but it's Florida, so that's always a hit or miss. (A few days were rainy and cold, which bothered my mom, so it was a bit of a drag.)

POP's food court is one of my favs! The chicken parm is great, and they have their TV dinners with a special every night. We went the night they had fried chicken, and ohmigosh, I'm a southern girl born and raised, but that was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had! DH also swears by the tye-dye cheesecake there, too!

I had my first adults only trip last year, it is really nice to get away, my kids are older so I don't have a problem sneaking away for a week, they actually like it, my DH is a pushover and it was one big party while I was gone. My friend Lo has a great hubby who encourages her to take time for herself, so she's super lucky. Maybe one day you'll get your adult trip. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.;)

Hi there, thanks for reading.

So we were at Pop roughly around the same time? We might have bumped into eachother and never knew.

I have gone to Disney twice now during Pop Warner and never had any problems either, I was even at MK on parade taping day, it wasn't real bad, once you got past the castle it was an average attendance day in my opinion.

I agree with you about Pop Centurys food court, I love their chicken parm is delicious, my Mom must have had it at least 4 times while we were there, the portions are so big we shared alot.

The weather was pretty chilly, but hey it gave me the excuse to buy a fleece Disney world jacket, I love it.

Hi,

There's not musch to this PTR so you really haven't missed anything, but thanks for reading anyway.

I did get the PM about the Dis meet, if that's the one you are talking about. I would love to go to it, but I am taking off too many days from work this summer as it is.

I am so happy I found someone to go to Disney with me, another all girls trip. Kent said he will still take me next September though.

In all of this graduation frenzy and party going ons, I forgot that I could make ADR's on the 6th. I didn't think about it until today. I was sure I wouldn't get what I want for the dates and I time I needed, but Disney magic was on my side.

Lo said to surprise her with a reservation somewhere for her birthday, I was going to do Liberty Tree Tavern, but then I thought, Lo is such a girly girl, she likes the princesses and would totally wear a tiara should I bring one for her, (which I am) so while on the phone with Edward, from Dining reservations I thought I would try and get Cinderellas Royal Table, I even laughed at myself when I asked if they had any openings for CRT on the 5th of Dec. and to my surprise....they did:banana::banana:

I have tried on all 3 of my other Disney vacations to get CRT and it was never available, I would call every few days even to see if there was a cancelation, but so sorry for me they never did.

I am completely giddy with excitement, you don't even know, well you probably do, we all share some kind of nuttines on the Dis here.:confused3 But anyway, I had to do a happy dance:dancer: DH kent told me to simmer down, but there was no simmering for me, this is just one more thing to make this trip the Bomb diggity.pixiedust::woohoo: (I'm all about the smilies right now)

SO that is our plan for Day 3 , Dec 5th Lo's birthday. She wanted to spend her day at MK, so we will and now we will be dining with Cinderellla in her castle and also going to MVMCP. Big busy day.

I made another ADR at Chef Mickeys for my birthday on the 9th. I still don't know what park I want to spend my special day at, either Epcot or Hollywood Studios, but since we don't have park hoppers as of yet and still not sure if we want to get them, I don't want to be tied down by an ADR at a park, so I figure make an ADR at a resort and just figure out what were doing later.

I have never eaten at Chef Mickeys either, so I have a few new things to look forward to on this trip. I have never been to the contemporary resort either, so I am looking forward to that as well, and then maybe taking the monorail to Epcot. But like I said the major planning starts next week. I am super excited now though.

That had to be Disney magic for you to get a ressie at CRT after missing your ADR date! :yay: Woo hoo!!!

Subscribing! Would you believe that your last day is my first day? Too funny!

That is so crazy. Are you staying at Pop again? Maybe I'll bump into you on your way in.

Oh yeah, definitely Disney Magic!:wizard: I never thought I would get it, but I had to try, I always try, I had my back up ressie just in case but was completely floored when they had an opening for me. I'm still dancing.
Lo doen't know where we're going for her birthday celebration, she just knows that I am over the top excited!

Not this time. Since we are only going to be there for two nights before the cruise leaves we are staying at the Boardwalk. I am very excited to stay here! Can't wait to hear about your trip!

You're going on a cruise!? How exciting! Have you done the cruise before? Will there be a TR?

I would love to someday do the cruise, I have read and seen so many things about the Disney cruises, it looks so amazing. I hope you have the best time ever!!!!

You could still come and not take any days off work! It's on a Sunday, and there's several coming from PA! You might even get to hitch a ride with one of them??:confused3 It'd sure be fun if you could make it. :thumbsup2

What is the date again? I work most Sundays 11-7. but maybe I can get somebody to switch days with me. I would really love to come and meet everybody and it's not too far for me to drive. Would it be ok if Kent came with me too?
