This couple doesn't deserve to be parents...

This article was in our local paper, over the weekend. This couple does not deserve to ever get this baby back!

They left their 3 week old baby in the car, for at least three hours, while they gambled in Atlantic City!

On a selfish note....DH and I tried for years to have a baby. I miscarried each time. Then we tried to adopt....scammed by the birthmother. No baby.

Yet....God gives these two idiots a baby.

Sorry, didn't mean to take the thread in this direction, but each time I read something like this, I want to throw something through the window.

Thankfully the baby is in protective custody, and it's my understanding that the mother (I hate to use such a nice word for a person like her) is still in custody.

Remember the show "Dinosaurs?" The greatest episode is when "not da momma" got fined for not renewing his parenting license. The best line was "You don't need a license to fish, hunt or drive, so why do I need one to parent?"

I'm glad they found the baby in time.

I know how you feel. I'm 37 years old wanting to have a baby, and those two flippin' idiots have one!! And left him or her in a car to gamble!! I know G-d has His reasons, but good grief!!!

I know it doesn't seem to make any sense that they have a baby and you don't, but i guess if this was a perfect place they would call this Heaven and not Earth. God put that baby here for a reason, and even gave it to those idiots for a reason...whether it was to teach them something..or just so that it would be born and taken away and given to deserving parents....who knows? Don't get upset...we can not understand God's reasons....just pray for His will.

It really would be an especially hard pill to swallow if I were not able to have children, so I do understand the previous posts.

I am not sure why these things happen, the problem is...it's not like a story like this would stop someone who would do this in the future.

I mean, if you have it in you to be this extraordinarily irresponsible, no news story is going to put a dent in your ignorance. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that a newborn baby should NEVER be left in a car unattended.

These people are idiots and it makes me sick that there are people like this raising children.
In my opinion, age does not have a factor. I was 16 when I had my son and I never would have thought to leave my child in the car while I did anything.

Frankly I am not suprised at all, we have had at least one generation brought up to believe that their "rights" supersed anyone else's. I have seen people like Montel and Rikki Lake talk about how children are a parents whole life and once you have children your desires don't count. So we now have adults who have the "right and need" to go gambling and so what about the child "I need this" we have had several cases in England where mothers have left small children alone because "I need a holiday and the kids will be ok alone" attitude. I believe there was a case in America where a woman was arrested and didn't tell anyone leaving a 2 year old girl alone with no food until her mother's ex found her. Until people realise that along with your rights you have responsibilities and that with children you have to consider their needs and be responsible for their well being this sort of selfish behaviour is going to continue. I am sorry to say even if this does lead to a fatality these kinds of people will feel that they have been treated badly by fate and not consider that their behaviour caused the tragedy after all they have rights!!!!!!!!
