OMG! I thought I was the only one with a MIL like that.

Last year I think, had to be the topper. We got in to a fight about something earlier in the year. I told her not everything was about her. She acknowledged that and I told her my DH and I were having some marriage difficulties. (only somewhat true).
So, for Christmas she gave me the top half of leopard print pjs and him the bottom half. Then we opened leopard print sheets.
I could not believe it!!

To top that off, my DD was 16 last year at x-mas time. My MIL gave her a N'Sync throw. My DD has NEVER liked N'Sync. NEVER!!

So, her cousins were laughing at her gift and at her. Then, we left for the drive home.

We got confirmation a couple days later...all the girl cousins...no matter what age....got N'Sync throws!!!
MY DD, had to laugh at that!

Mystery Machine--funny you should mention jumper cables. That's what she gave DH last year. They are the kind that go from cigarette lighter to cigarette lighter instead of hooking them up to the batteries.
