This Christmas or May?

We currently have ressies at Pop for Christmas week. Dh recently started a new job and they shut down for that week. I teach and am off that week too. So we figured it would be a good time for a Disney trip:cool1: We have 2 kids, 6 and 3 and we'll drive down from Maryland. Now though, I'm getting nervous about how crazy it will be during that time.

Our back-up is in May where we're going to a wedding outside of West Palm Beach. We thought we'd fly there one way, do the wedding, rent a car and drive to Orlando, do a few days at Disney and then fly home from MCO. If we did this, we'd be paying extra for airfare rental car, and both dh and I would have to take 4 days off of work, dd would miss school. If we do go in Dec we might not go to the wedding in May. Basically it's an either/or situation due to finances.

I'm afraid that despite the prettiness of the world at Christmas, the crowds and such would fray our nerves and we wouldn't have any fun. Is it possible to have a good time and ride rides during this time? We'd get there at rope drop each day if not before.

What would you do--May or December?

thank you for any and all suggestions!

As you know, Christmas week is really crowded and that it's more about the experience of being there rather than seeing every attraction you can see. I would love to do it, but I don't know that I would do it with two little ones. I think it depends a lot on what your expectations are.

We went the second week in May this year and we walked on everything but Soarin'. It was a little hot, but not awful and we had an amazing time. Given a choice, I'd choose May.

Good luck.

I guess I was hoping someone would say, "Eh, it's not so bad". lol I think I always knew May was a better bet but that's much farther off than December.

I agree that May will be more fun for all of us--and it gives my more potty training time with my 3 year old!!!!!!

Thank you!!

Two kids, driving down to Disney World from Maryland, been there done that. To much time on the road. Plan on the May trip. Save your money for Santa.
