THIRD Vero Beach chair swap

For anyone that is going to be at Vero Beach (beginning in August, as long as we get a response) we are trying to organize a 3rd chair swap. Starbox has organized two swaps and has filled me in on how she did it. If anyone is interested and is not on Starbox's list, please let me know your dates on this thread and I will keep a list.

Here's how it works: if we get enough people, I will order two beach chairs and an umbrella to be delivered to Vero Beach Resort. We will split the cost. When you arrive at VB, you get the packages from the desk, use the chairs & umbrella, repack them at the end of your stay and re-label it for the next swapper (there will be a list) and return it to the front desk.

Please subscribe to this thread and give me your dates if you are interested. I will collect more sensitive info for the payment and lists through PMs, once we know we can do it.

As for Snoopygirl's question, I don't know how long the chairs and umbrella will last if put to pretty consistent use. Also, if we don't have anyone using them over the winter (ie, the swap sort of "ends"), then I don't know if the resort would hold them until next spring, KWIM? We can explore this though depending on how many people we get to respond.

FYI. To all people interested in a 3rd chair swap, Pooh's Pixie who has graciously accepted to organize this project, is on vacation this week. I am sure she will get back to all individuals that are interested.

We are going to VB shortly.

Thanks for the interest, and thanks Matt for keeping it going while I was gone. I am just back (like 2 hours ago) from Martha's Vineyard and I am slogging thru my 140 emails. I will give the chair swap some of my attention by Monday and see what I can find...I will look for chairs and try to get price and est. shipping, then we can go from there. Thanks to all who are interested!

Do we want an umbrella too? Or boogie boards? Since there aren't too many of us, I don't want to make the cost too prohibitive.

They look GREAT to me!!! I'm on vacation myself at the NJ Shore so I will not be able to respond till I get back on Sun 7-29.

3 of the 4boons will be at VBR from Aug. 17th - Aug 24th.

We don't need chairs from the swap because we will pick some up at CVS or Wallgreens when we arrive. However, if someone needs 3 chairs on/after Aug. 25th we will be glad to leave them at the desk.

If we leave chairs for someone, do they have to be in a box?
