Third party reservation for rental car?

Has anyone ever used an internet site to rent a car i.e. hotwire, expedia, travelocity ect.? I found a good price on hotwire and was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have had good or bad experiences with this.

I booked my last car rental directly thru Hertz on the internet. I actually got a better deal than using the "discounters". I did keep checking the rates though, and found that they got cheaper as we got closer to departure. That strategy may work for you, although I wouldn't risk it at high travel periods like Easter, Xmas, etc.

We will be traveling in mid June, I think it would be okay to hold off and keep checking for codes, what do ya'll think?

I would probably book the best deal I could now, without a credit card guarantee (no cancellation policy, etc.), then keep checking to see if something better comes along.
