::MinnieMo Have stayed at a moderate resort 3 times CBR twice and POR last year. Thinking of staying a Poly next July 06. Can anyone give me info. on this resort regarding room, grounds, price difference etc. ::MinnieMo

Poly is wonderful. Off hand, I can't remember the rates, but go to www.allearsnet.com for rates and some great photos of the resort. Also, remember Tikiman's great website as well!
Hey, maybe you'll be lucky enough to get one of those nice newly remodeled rooms! :flower:

They have a few different room types. Least expensive would be garden view. They also have lagoon view rooms with views of MK castle! The grounds are very pretty! The monorail to MK or Epcot is great! The zero entry pool with Volcano slide is a big hit with the kids.

I also wanted to mention that there is a Poly FAQ thread on this board. Lots of good info and helpful people there. And welcome to the DIS.

sugarmouse,

Do you care to elaborate? It's not fair to someone looking for honest responses to make a post like that.

JMHO.

Hey, Tikiman's site is back up. Lot's of info on the Poly there. Minnie, I've stayed there a bunch of times, in fact only resort I will stay at. Love the place, and going back this Oct.

Tikiman has the most wonderful site! Has lots of wonderful infos! DO try Poly... I think you will like it there a lot!

Thanks everyone for all of the replies but now i have a few more questions about it lol. I Have read that the busses are shared with other hotels and could take a long time to get to the parks. Also, does anyone know if the Poly has a food court with quick breakfasts such as bagels, muffins or pastries. ::MinnieMo

Yes, has a food court with quick breakfast stuff. My best kept secret of the poly is to stay in Tahiti or Rapanui... and walk to the ticket and transportation center to take the express monorail to MK. It is a VERY short walk..... and great time saver. Wish I had the money to stay there this time. I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. I have only stayed at disney once, but have traveled for years and years(bahamas, hawaii, you name it) and this is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. Huge rooms, great feel, great beach, super pool... just WoW!!

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why, you ask???

Because it is fabulous and you will be hooked! :flower: We love all of the Deluxe resorts but the POLY is our favorite!

As others have said, check out tikiman's web site.

Have fun!

I agree with littlepricessmom. Don't do it because you're probably going to get a case of the Poly fever! I got the fever years ago and I just love staying there. We returned from our trip in May and my wife and I both said: "maybe in a couple years, if we're lucky". We both found our selves pricing another stay for next June! If all goes well, Ill be staying in my favorite longhouse, Samoa! Ground floor room 1605 to 1609 (I'm not picky) over looking the Volcano pool. Staying at the Poly is half the vacation for me right there and WDW just isn't the same for me if I can't come home to the Poly! Sounds crazy but it's true. Good luck and I hope you pick the right resort for you.

We've been to WDW 35 times in the last 10 years and stayed at all of the deluxe resorts except the WL. On our last trip in July we stayed at the Poly for the first time and really loved it. It is funny, but we didn't expect to like much about it except the location. Well, now we're hooked. we'll be staying there again. We felt welcome and comfortable, actually much more so than we ever did at the BWI or the BC. Our second choice now would be the AKL and third would be the YC.
