Thinking of renting

I will be traveling with my family of about 5 adults, 1 toddler. I was told to head over here to look into possibly renting DVC points but have zero clue of what to do.

I've looked into getting three rooms at Pop with dining and park tickets for about $5-6,000 for the entire stay, but i'm willing to look into something a little more expensive if it means all staying together comfortably.

Any idea how much renting would cost or how to go about it? Again, i'm at a total loss with this thing!

First off I would suggest you read the sticky notes on the Rent/Trade forum... you have a lot of time on the DIS to learn the rental ropes. It maybe a great alternative if you have a larger group going down to be able to stay in a larger room and save a little $$ too.

Wow, you all are so helpful!

I figured I couldn't rent yet, as I couldn't book on the Disney site at this point either! To top that off, I don't even have the money at this point, .

I feel so much less overwhelmed by the whole scenario thanks to your posts, so thank you. This may be a really good alternative; i'm excited!
