Now that my son is old enough, I want to be at Disney as much as I can. So far we are planning for every other year trips to Florida. That just doesn't seem like enough.
How did you all pay for your shares? Did anyone finance and if so how and who did you go through? I guess I am trying to get as much input so I can bring this to the husband to try to convince him it is in our best interest to join.

Thank you in advance for all of your ideas and information!

Will DVC be worth while for you? I guess I can pose the questions that were sent to me.

1) DVC is worth it if you travel to WDW every year, every other year, and even every 3rd year.

2) You stay in deluxe accomodations each time you go. Will not work if the usual stay is at say the All Star Resorts.....

3) You are mainly buying into DVC for WDW and not the trades through Intervale.

Financing can be taken care of through Disney if purchased through them. Pick a down payment and off you go. Present financing through Disney is 9.75% for 10 years. There are a lot of members here that have taken advantage of home equity since the percentage rate is lower.
Disney and DVC will be a great investment in your family...if you love Disney and for see yourself going a lot by all means join up. The longer you wait the more expensive it may get. As you read through these post you will find that most here wish they joined much sooner then they did. Also everyone here is great and very informative........

Good Luck

I totally agree with Brownie. We financed 150 points for 5 years through Disney. I hope to have it paid sooner, but I'm not a saver, so financing through Disney forces me to payit off rather than just save for that big purchase. For us, it was a great chance to be able to go to WDW every year with our son. Plus, we can go as little as every three years if need be. However, we are dying now with ONLY going once a year! Of course we wish we'd bought in sooner as well. With prices going up, I wish we would have purchased more points, but we've sworn no add ons until this one's paid, so we'll have to wait! Good luck with your decision!
