It's been a few years since we've been to Universal, but I remember we were able to get a good discount at PBH with a gov't ID. Is that no longer offered? How about AAA? or teachers? Anything? And nothing for tickets either?

If you stay in a Universal hotel for one night are you able to use FOTL for 2 days? TIA!

yes, all onsite guests receive the fotl perk at the parks for the day they check in and the day they check out.

the on site hotels do have discounts for AAA members.
as long as the rooms set aside for AAA bookings are not filled, you can grab a discount with that card.

The hotels are running excellent deals, well at least for the time of year I am going. Check out the super savings rate if you go 5 nights or longer in Sept and the first week in October. Actually, I think it may be going on all summer. I'm paying about $980 for 5 nights at the Portofino, that's better than any discount I've ever received from AAA. Also $99 for 7 days at two theme parks is an excellent deal, subscribe to Mousesavers for a special code and you can drop that to $79.99. :thumbsup2

I believe that some discounts are only available by calling. I know I had to call to get the AAA rate for my October trip.

If you are looking for a military discount, you need to call. However, some of the specials they are running for EVERYONE are just as cheap as those military discounts, thanks to the economy. Again, guessing that you are military, if you are retired or active duty, they are running a special that if you either go to SOG or a local base, they are issuing free 7 day hoppers to USF/IOA for the military member (you have to pay for the family tickets).

I booked the buy three get two free and ended up with a great rate at the Hard Rock. It ended up being about $180/night.

WAHHHHHHH I didn't get a special code! Or did I over look the offer some where on the site?

it's been on the universal website for sometime now.

all the specials end on October 8th. That's the last day for them.

I was hoping to snag the discount she mentioned for the other 2 tickets we need to buy. Looks like we'll be going in the summer this year due to scheduling, which is fine by me. Gives me a full year to plan and obsess over HHN for next year ;)

yes, I saw the buy 3 get 2 but we only planned on going for a couple of days before our cruise. i called for the AAA discount, but it just didn't seem to be all that great.:confused3

That's the one thing about Universal. No special codes that are only sent to a select few. Or your dog. Or your great grandma who used to travel with you but since passed away and now you can't use the code 'cuz it's in her name.

The codes that people are talking about are through the mousesavers site. They are codes to get park tickets at a discount through ticketmaster. The codes change all the time but they are not Universal codes but they are ticketmaster codes.

For room discounts, just call Loews and see what they've got. There are no secrets, just like Jodie said.

Hmmmm the way she made it sound, if you signed up with Mousesavers you got a code. Maybe I misunderstood. Oh well. :)

Oh good! I didn't misunderstand, I'm just not looking in the right place? Are the codes sent to you by Mousesaver or do you just use their site and the link for ticketmaster? I've always just bought my tickets from the US website, so please excuse all of the questions.

The codes are in the mousesaver newsletter apparently. However, the codes change all the time and I'm not sure if there are any current ones out there.

Maybe they'll have some before we book :)
Thanks for the info! I've found missing one set of codes or special offers is no big deal, there is always something else that will come along.
