Every year we go to Orlando, FL to WDW. We are thinking about going overseas to DLP next year.

Where do i start to get info besides the boards here?? What do i need to do?

Where do we stay at? How long do we need? What else to do while we are there?

When is a good time to go? We are thinking about May/June 2007, is that good?

Is there a book about DLP that i can get??

Any help would be great-thanks!!

well the Brits guide by simon veness is a must buy for a first visit here is the link for Amazon

I am sure you will find it very useful. even though its called the Brits guide it is really only the first chapter about traveling to DLRP that is really "British"

Hi Disneyfun1 and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

First port of call should be to the Useful Info and Hotel FAQ stickies at the top of the board.

How many are in your party ?

Paris is a 45 minute train ride from the station at Disneyland Paris. You could easily make one or two daytrips into Paris during your stay at DLP.

Also, DLP offers one or two bus excursions. I recall one goes to Fountainbleau. (We went there on our own with a Hertz rental car, available at the train station at DLP.)

A week should give you plenty of time to do both Paris and DLRP. with a couple of days for other things.
The train IMHO is the best way to get there as you don't have to put with the traffic, Paris is one of the worst places for traffic, with the train you can get on and off to get around all the places to visit. Their is also a open top bus which goes around the city and again you can hop on and off. I think the ticket for the bus is valid for 2 days so its a good way to see the city, It is very slow moving however its OK as you can see things without zooming past.

I can not remember what the bus is called however I remember it was red though!

Good luck with your planning.

Check the official Disneyland Paris website and look at the information about the park and hotels, or order a free brochure. When you have decided, you can book a package online. Although I would wait until 2007 to book, to take advantage of any offers they might have then.

Where do we stay at?
There are a range of Disney hotels situated by the park, and also some cheaper options a bit further away. Have a look at reviews about the hotels and choose one to fit your buget.

How long do we need?
I would suggest a 4 or 5 night stay to get the most out of the resort.

What else to do while we are there?
While you are there, you can take the train into the heart of Paris for a spot of sightseeing, there is also nightclubs and a golf course on site.

May/June is a great time to go. Paris usually has nice weather around this time of year. It may be a bit crowded, but the fastpass system allows this not to be too much of a problem.

I have heard that "A Brit's Guide to Disneyland Resort Paris" is a good book. You can order it from Amazon I think.
And there is the official brochure I mentioned earlier.

There are two companies offering "hop on, hop off" open top bus tours in Paris. The red buses are run by Les Cars Rouges. The lime green buses are run by L'Open Tour.
