Thinking of doing Universal or IOA 1 day HELP!!

I just can't resist taking my 2 yr old and 8 yr old to see spongebob etc. Which would my children enjoy more? US or IOA? I am thinking mostly of my 2 yr old here, as my older one might be going to the Halloween party with me, (unless it's Really Scary still looking into it). I only want to spend 1 day there, and will have to take a shuttle from PoP Century Resort. Any ideas or tips would be GREAT ALSO!

Normally I would suggest IOA, ,even for little ones, but if they really want to see the Nick characters than US is best for them. We saw tons... Sponge Bob, Rugrats, gosh I know there were more but I can't remember, also Shrek and Fiona. The Shrek show should be good if your little one isn't too easily scared, and Jimmy Neutron is great, even if you sit in the stationary seats. They will see all the main Nick characters (some briefly) in the show, and when you exit there is a place where you can take the kids' picture in Bikini Bottom. There's also something you look through that shows what it would look like if they were on the SpongeBob show, I think. Curious George is a great water play area for both of them, they will want to spend lots of time there.

If you are talking about Holloween Horror nights, I haven't been but from what I have read, yes it's REALLY scary. If you're staying at WDW, I guess you may already be doing MNSSHP, if not I would definitely consider it for those ages.

We only saw Spongebob at Universal. I don't think there's anything Spongebob related at IOA is there?

They sure make it hard to choose just one park, LOL There's lots to do at each.

As far as characters go...

At IOA, we saw Spiderman, Woody Woodpecker, Dora and the Scooby Doo, Cat in the Hat and Popeye characters .

At Universal, we saw Spongebob, Barney, and the Shrek characters .

Seuss Landing at IOA would be fun for a 2-yr-old and there's a play area called Me Ship Olive in Toon Lagoon. Universal has the characters she/he might like, but not much in the way of rides.

The one day/two park ticket is only $10 more. I'd get that and hit all the things at both parks that the kids would enjoy.
