Need some opinions to see how this would work.

Currently staying at Pop Century room only dec 22-25. This is under Disney
Next reservation is Pop Century 25-27 but paid travel agent for a Disney sports tournament. They gave me a Disney reservation number.

I can see both in my MDE

have fast passes booked 22-26. ( tickets already linked to MDE.

If we change reservation 1 to Coronado Springs.
Will I have any issues with my fast passes?

If we do this- we’d have our luggage transferred to Pop the 25. Is this pretty easy?

I know it’s a pain to move- but I’m wanting a nicer pool and hot tub a few days and I can’t change the travel agent reservation.

I think if you cancel & rebook then you’re fastpasses won’t change.
We personally love split stays; we actually prefer them! We usually call bell services when we’re leaving the first resort & they will transfer your luggage over to the next hotel. However, you do need to be in your room at the next hotel in order for them to bring up your bags. And the transfers happen after about 3:00 or 4:00 pm. We’ve never had any problems with delivery or changing resorts!

You won't have any issues with your fastpasses if you change resorts.

Having Disney move your luggage is simple and painless. You either take your bags to Bell Services (Luggage Assistance at the Values) or call them from your room and ask them to come pick them up. You tell them where you're transferring to, they give you claim checks for your bags and you head off to a park (don't forget to tip).

Two things to keep in mind.
1) at the Values, Luggage Assistance does not have a large staff. If you ask them to pick up your bags, it may take a long time (as in an hour or longer) for them to get to you. You might consider taking your bags down to then. It'll save you time.
2) no matter what time you turn your bags over to Bell Services, the actual transfer process does not begin until approximately 1pm, and is a coordinated affair across all resorts. Your bags will likely not arrive at the new resort until around 4pm. You must call Bell Services from your room to have them delivered to you. They will not deliver them automatically.

That helps. I’d feel more comfortable dropping them off in the AM, then heading to a park.
I guess we would have to prepare not to go rest during day and stay at parks.

You might consider a Minnie Van, Uber or Lyft and dropping the luggage off at the next resort yourself with a possible early check-in at the next resort?
Agreed. We always use an uber. For a few dollars, I have peace of mind leaving my luggage at the resort we are checking into. We then head to the parks.

That's what I did. The lyft trip was quick and painless. Personally I found packing in the middle of my trip to be irritating. I will not plan a split stay again. Lesson learned!
