Thinking of changing from CCI to Park Vue

Hello. We've stayed several times at Candy Cane Inn but for this trip we're thinking about changing to Park Vue. Two reasons: price and location. However, I've read several negative reviews of PV on Yelp. What does anyone else think about Park Vue vs. Candy Cane Inn? Should I change to save a few $$ and to be closer to the park?

The most common complaint I've seen about the Park Vue (besides dirty carpets, which they recently replaced) has been their mistake-prone reservation system combined with apathetic management.

I stayed there for a week recently. Had no problems, service was good, and location can't be beat.

Haven't tried the Candy Cane, but I've read good things about them as well. Did you enjoy your previous stays there? Any problems with them?

I think the main worry with Park Vue is the possibility of them screwing up your reservation/credit card charges and the management not caring about getting the problem resolved. I don't know how often this happens, but there are complaints about it. If you're willing to risk this for a better room rate and location, give them a try. If you hate the idea of a conflict with your hotel while on vacation, stick with the Candy Cane Inn.

Hope this helps. :goodvibes

ND Disney Daddy has given you a very reasonable summation of the issues to consider in changing to PV. Listen to him and decide what fits your family best.

Thanks everyone. This is indeed helpful. I think I'll stick with CCI ... especially in view of this thread. Moreover, I've also just read that PV has an F rating with the local BBB. Better to spend a little more money and have to walk a little further, I think.

We love Park Vue! Never had any problems there. Can't beat the price and the location! Fast walk, no shuttle needed!! Their breakfast is good too!

We have stayed at the Candy Cane Inn twice and really liked it. We will be staying at the Park Vue Inn this December because we have 6 people in our group this time. I have never stayed here but have read alot of good reviews from other vacationers and I actually recommended this motel to some friends of ours last year and they did not have any problems. The Candy Cane has its own shuttle so there is actually no need to walk unless you just do not want to wait for the shuttle. If you have stayed at the Candy Cane before I think you should probably just stay there again that way you know what to expect. :)
