Thinking of buying into DVC, have ??'s

We are thinking of buying into DVC, but I have a couple of questions. I was looking at some of the resales.

1. If we like to vacation at WDW in April/May and December, what would be the ideal use year?

2. I have read that SSR is different regarding the year of ownership? What is that all about?

Can't really answer number 1, but if you buy at resale the UY is already established. We just bought into BWV through Disney and took an August use year that came with the contract. At SSR you may be able to pick a UY but I'm sure a current SSR owner could tell you. For me I probably would have liked a Nov or Dec use year so that the 100% banking deadline would fall in late April or May. I'm sure there will be vering opinions but what ever you get you can make it work. Good Luck!

1) I agree Dec - you can bank 100% (or whatever you have left) on May 31

2) 2042 is the end date for most of the DVC resort, SSR has 2054 as it end date.

I agree that December use year would probably be the best for you. That's what I have and we travel to WDW in May/June & December.
