Thinking of buying DVC

I'm thinking of buying into DVC. I have read the FAQ but I'm wondering if there is more info that I can send away for,like a video.

yes there is a video...it just gives an over view of the resorts...doesn't go into much detail. I called them and they assigned me a guide and sent me a catolog as well with some pricing info. It also had points listed for the resorts. This disboard gives lot's of help too!!!

Thanks for the quick reply's. I don't where to start. I was hoping that the video would provide lots of information. I don't understand how you decide where to buy, how much due's are etc..... Any help that you guys can provide would be GREAT. Is resale a good way to go,or is it better to buy through Disney???? I'm sure what questions to ask.

LittleStix, we walked through SSR back in Feb and began looking for resales after returning home(TTS). The prices are less than what DVC priced. We opted for SSR because of the additional 12 years when comparing to the other resorts. Prices are minimal when you consider the extra time. Once you have your points, you are welcomed to utilize any DVC resort of your choosing (some cost less points than others), Passport, Adventure, or Concierge collections.

Hey, you sound just like me a couple of days ago...i started my adventure just last Monday!! Although we had thought about buying a few years ago...but decided it was not a good time. So here we go again! If you call the number for the video...I did not find the video helpful...it had great pictures of the resort. If you are planning to finance through Disney...the only resort they are selling now is Saratoga Springs...my guide did say they had a few resales at other resorts for sale. The catolog they will send you, it's called " The secret to making your dreams come true" will have more detailed info, plus financing numbers. I too did not know where to start...just as i found, there is a world of knowledge on this board. Just ask your questions and somebody will answer!
