They will offer it to you, as all hotels will. Just say no. We actually did the presentation there, it wasn't a big deal.

They offered, I said "no thank you" and they didn't bother me again. CP is an awesome place to stay, so don't let the timeshare offer/presentation keep you away!

We have stayed here before and did not find that they hassled us in any way.
They did ask us if we were interested and we declined, end of discussion. We were there for two weeks and were never bothered again.
We thought Cypress Pointe was a great place to stay and it was our first choice resort for our next stay in January.

:thumbsup2

We stayed there last year and never heard a peep from anyone. We checked in around midnight because of a delayed plane, so there was nobody at the 'welcome desk' that trip. Just finished a stay on Dec 20th this year, and we didn't stop at the desk to pick up our 'welcome package' after we checked in. They did call the next day and left a reminder message of our breakfast appointment for 8 the next morning. I knew that I never made a breakfast appointment, so just ignored that message. Phone rang again the next day which we didn't answer and no message was left. That was the only contact made to us. We had a wonderful stay.

I was there last week.

We had 3 of the 2BR condos. Each of the condos got a call to "remind" us to come by and pick up our "welcome package". We just told them thank you and left it at that. I knew from these boards was their way of getting us in to invite us to take the timeshare tour which we weren't interested in.

That was all we heard from them. They may have called at other times when we weren't there, but that was the only call we actually got.

We stayed at CP last May. It was a beautiful resort and we really enjoyed the volcano pool. We were asked at check in if we were interested in the breakfast tour, and my DH said definatly not! I was a little interested because they offered us the free breakfast plus $150.00 in Disney dollars to attend! I thought that the 2 hours or so would be worth it,but DH was adamant! So we passed... and we never heard anything else about it during our entire stay. And the staff was always nice and helpful!:wizard:

Hi

My DD11 & her girlfriend, her girlfriend's Mom & I stayed in CYGV last Nov 2006for 4 days. We left the husbands behind. It was NJ convention (election week)

We booked thru Hotelkingdom.com & got a rate of $100.00 a night for a 2 bedroom.

TheCondo was huge. The girls slept in the living room (there choice) on a pull-out couch which turned into a queen bed, while watching the big screen tv.

I stayed in the Master bedroom, which was simply magnificent, along with the Jacuzzi tub. I also loved the kitchen & washer dryer. We saved lot's by packing our lunches & snacks & drinks for the parks. We had fun eating in the condo.

The other parent slept in the 2nd bedroom, which had 2 beds. We had 2 bathrooms, & 2 showers. We also had fun with the activies the resort offered. You can't beat the location.

We received a non presure call from the staff about a time share which was 1 1/2 hours on morning that we were leaving.

We went and both received $150.00 each in visa money. No pressures and they gave us breakfast.

We loved the place so much, they I have rebooked us for next Novemeber & asked for the same room. It is a steel for the money.

Hope this

Patricia

Patricia,

How did you find the presentation? Were they very pushy there? It doesn't seem like a bad deal for an hour & half of your time?

Just got back from Cypress Pointe Resort on Friday. When we checked in they sent us over to another desk to get a welcome package. It was 8 resort postcards and 8 postcard stamps, along with area information. At that desk we were invited to come to a free breakfast, at which they would also give us $150 for listening to their presentation. We just told them we had character meal ressies on the two days she offered and it was dropped at that. Never heard from them again about it at all, although the phone did ring one day--but I couldn't get to it before it stopped ringing.

Hi Sandra,

It was the best presentation, I ever did. The guy was really nice & not pushy. During the presentation, we told the guy, that my friend & I both told have kids at home attending college, & we both, would not be able to afford to buy a time share at this time.

He knew we were serious about not buying so after the 1 1/2 presentation, he gladly let us go. First, another man, came to our table and asked us, if we were interested, & we told him the same thing about college. He filled out the paper work, & we went down stairs to the front desk to pick up our visa cards.

Honestly, I would do it again in a heart beat. It was the most mellow time share presentation I ever attended.

Hope this helps.

Patricia

Happy New Year

do both you and your husband have to attend the timeshare or can you attend alone???? i would be willing to go but i know my husband would not.
