Thinking of April Vacation

In 2006 we are thinking of going to WDW in April? Has anyone gone during this month and how is the weather? Thanks for the info.

We went last month and are returning April 2006. The weather was great, low to mid 80's in the daytime and 60's in the evening. We wore shorts and tanks the whole time. I would bring a light jacket or sweatshirt for late park nights. The sun was shining the entire week! Not one drop of rain!! What week are you planning to go?

We were there this past April - went on the Disney cruise than stayed in Cocoa beach the rest of the week. We were there 04/16/05/ -04/25/05. The weather was great all but the day we arrived. It was cool and windy. Too cold to swim but I think that this was unusual for Florida in April. The rest of the week was great. High 70's low 80's and we only had 1 rain shower.
I am not sure when your April vacation is but keep in mind Easter falls April 16 in 2006. Unfortunately that is our spring break. The parks are jammed. You might what to avoid that week if possible.

We've been in April twice. Weather is usually very nice and the crowds are "moderate" but wait times on rides were not too bad for the most part. April is when they have the Flower and Garden show at Epcot, which can effect crowd levels a bit. It's a beautiful time to go though and they really do up the park with floral arrangments and topiaries. Just an FYI...

We just got back from our second april trip. Next year too we are going april, easter week again, our other trip was easter 2004, it was really crowded, but I planned well and we used fp as much as possible and I had all the dining arrangements done before we left home, good thing or we would have been eating counter service all week, this year, trip # 2 for april was during the ny spring break week april 24-may2, 2005. It was crowded enough, I started a trip report, the 25th at noon in the magic kingdom they had already run out of double strollers and ecv vehicles. We saw chef mickey dinner and hollywood and vine and crystal palace lunch all turning walk ups away. We had adr/ps at all of these restraunts. Well we will go again next april around the 14th because that is when the 3 ds spring break is, it will be our last vacation with oldest ds, he will be off to college the next year, we already have ap' so that is taken care of. As far as weather, we did encounter rain sometimes, the other year they had an unusual cold snap, we actually saw kids with blue lips at blizzard beach. After all the snow in the north here and long winters any warmer temps are welcome for us. If you plan well you will have a great trip.
