Can anyone give me any tips? Need to earn a little extra cash.

I used to do ChaCha and could make $6-10 an hour. They have really changed it and even working my butt off the most I can make is $3 an hour. There are people who claim to make more but you have to work during their bonus hours on the weekends to do it.

So I guess my tip is if you do it make sure you work the bonus hours - and you have to receive text messages from them to qualify for the bonus hours and they can't send them to t-mobile. They used to have a lot of bonus hours and they seem few and far between now.

You have to work a LOT to make any money- I worked ~20 a week for a couple weeks, and only made $15ish. It takes a while to get speedy at what you are doing. I quit doing it- it was not worth the headache for the piddly money you get at first.

I work as a Expeditor for ChaCha VERY part time (like 5-7 hours a month). I've been with them for about 3 years. I make $2-3 an hour and only do it when I'm sitting in front of the TV or when I'm not doing anything (both of which happens infrequently, hence the 5-7 hours a month). I used to do it A LOT but I got burned out so now I just do it randomly. You can make good bonuses during the bonus times but it required you to usually dedicate 2-4 hours of your day to get the bonuses. I am signed up for the night alerts so I get texts at 1-2 a.m. often with bonus cash offered (i.e. they put $200-$800 in a 'pot' and whomever meets the qualifications that logs on between those time frames stated and answers the amount of questions specified splits the pot with everyone else (can usually be anywhere between $1.50 and $8).

It's an easy thing to do once you get the hang of it and if you don't get offended easily (some of the questions can really be out there) but you won't get rich quick (or at all ) or make as much an hour as you would at a part time job. But you do get to do it when you want, for as long as you want, as comfortable as you want to be!

I used to work for ChaCha...but things have really changed over time and the income is no longer worth my time. I used to pull in 400-500 a month working a few hours a day. Now, I could probably make 1/2 and work a lot more hours. I have not logged in for months. I would say reasonably, you can expect to make 1 or 2 bucks an hour, especially starting out.

It is important to take your time and make sure you are accurate and follow whatever guidelines are set (depends on your role) you will get faster with practice ....they can and will deactivate you for not meeting their standards, and there is no second chance.

The other thing is payment. I believe to get their once a month direct deposit, you now need to have $150 earned, or you wait until the next month....there is no set deposit month, you will not get it until you have earned that $150. Otherwise, the other option is a debit card (I think that's still the case, never used it) but they charge a fee to deposit money in the account, it used to be $2/transaction, which could be an hour of your time.

I would not work for them unless a few dollars really made a big difference to you, and you absolutely have to work on a no schedule, no phone, at home job.

ETA: They also will not handle your taxes for you, so you will owe on your earnings come tax time...

i ditto the PP....chacha just isn't worth my time anymore. i use to be able to log in about 9am and work until about noon, and make $20. the last few months i worked, i'd log in at 5:30am and work until 11:30am, and make $11. pay has been cut almost in half, and the queries are MUCH harder now-the expeditors answer all the easy ones (for much less pay). the average pay per query for a guide is $.10, so starting out, you'd be lucky to make $2.00 per hour.
