Thinking now about a May 2010 trip, is there a benefit to getting room only now?

I just wondered if I got the room in 2009 prices is that the benefit?

I booked my room for April 2010 just to be certain I got a reservation at CSR. Last time, I was too late and they were all booked 7 months in advance. I was told by the TA that once the 2010 rates were posted (early Aug.) that my rates would change to those rates, so there's no "locking in" rates now with the room only reservation. The only advantage then, is at least having a reservation, as far as I can see.

Thanks for your answer! I am not terribly picky about where we stay, and I am sure our tried and true (ASM) will have rooms!
