We are thinking of taking a Disney Cruise with our points. Our kids are grown and have flown the coop. The question is this: Has anyone taken the Disney Cruises without kids? Can you get away from the wee ones when you want? All replys much appreciated. Thanks, ajtux

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on the Magic in March of 2003. We had no children with us, just us! It was wonderful. Of course you need to love Disney, and all that comes with it. But there are lots of areas on the ship to get away from the little ones. They have an adult pool for those 18 and up. Also there is a restaruant, Palo, that is reserved for only those 18 and up. We hardly saw alot of children as they are in clubs designed for them, and they have a secret passageway just for them to go to and from those clubs. Also, on Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island there is a beach just for adults, again 18 and over. It was paradise! So, I would say go for it. We are going again in March 2005. Got the same stateroom we stayed in before, and again no kids!! Can't wait. Hey maybe you all could join us on the March 12, 2005 crusie. Go ahead, book it, you won't regret it!!

My husband and I have taken 3 cruises and will be going on our 4th this October. We have no children and have always had a wonderful time. Most of the parent are smart and have their kids go to the oceaneers club and the wonderful things that Disney has for the kids to do.

The Spa is for adults only too. I highly recommend the Rainforest room! A wonderful place to relax and is very soothing after walking at the ports.

We prefer the later seating at dinner, most of the families try to take the earlier seating, so the later one is good for us. During the cruise we didn't have much trouble with kids, and the cruise staff has plenty for adults only to do! Disney really does a great job with adults.

Serenity bay on Castaway Cay is Fabulous! It's not crowded and loads of fun!!

Thanks, Erminda. We are booked at the reef resort in Grand Cayman this winter. Judging from yours and others responses we think a Disney cruise is in our future. I love Disney, makes me feel 12 again.

We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary on the Magic in March (our 4th cruise), and had ANOTHER Magical vacation! I agree with the previous comments: lots of children on board, but there are always "nooks and crannies" to be found where you can sit and take in the sights without any noise at all! Cant wait to go back: hopefully next Feb/March. You cant beat it! Nat:Pinkbounc

This is my quote from a previous post:
The one thing that really surprised us both was that we really did not have many kiddos around us most of the time. For those of you thinking of cruising kidless and wanting a more adult atmosphere, don't avoid DCL for that reason. There were so many places that only allowed adults that we were very impressed. Of course we had late dining and LAPL rotation, so that helped I'm sure.

Disclaimer: this is just my opinion.

Cove Cafe on the Magic is a great place to have a coffee or drink and relax in LOTS of peace and quiet. I think they plan on making the same change to the Wonder this fall. Since it's by the Quiet Cove adult pool, it's adults only and also has internet hookups if you're interested.

I also recommend the hot tub at Quiet Cove around 11:00 pm. It's open till midnight and is great after a long day. After lots of walking and excitement it really helped me wind down.

I was amazed at the difference in noise level between the adult pool area and the Goofy pool. It's like you step into a whole different world. When you add Palo and the spa we didn't have any problems finding adult only places.

We had some children in our late dining APL rotation but they weren't disruptive.

Go and have a great time.
