Thinking about trying Discovery Cove

My kids would really like to try it for a day. We are staying at Disney for a week in November and would just go the day to Discovery Cover. Anyone know if there are ever any discounts or promotions?

They occasionally offer discounts, so you can sign up to receive emails through them. Also check AAA if you are a member.

We went several years ago, but it was during a non-Disney trip. It was a great experience. We definitely got our money's worth out of the tickets because we also used them for Sea World, Aquatica, and spent a few days in Tampa at Busch Gardens.

We did the same a couple years ago! My mom had a great email special and her and my dad reserved a spot in the dolphin swim. I decided not to sign up for the swim, but when I got there they had me down for a spot even though I didn't pay the extra. They let me do it anyway and didn't charge me for it! It was a wonderful experience! Well worth the money. They have a pretty much all you care to eat breakfast and lunch included in the price. My daughter was one at the time and she had a great time just swimming in the lazy river and pools. There's a really cool bird area, too! We somehow missed the snorkeling area but it looked really fun! Lots more to do than I was expecting, we all agree that we will do it again someday! I still get email specials from time to time, so definitely sign up for them.

Thanks, sounds great! I will sign up for the emails and hopefully I get an offer.

We love Discovery Cove. It's just so peaceful. We went back in 2003 with the kids and DH and I went this past September (skipped the dolphin swim this time). They limit the crowd size so the chairs were plentiful. The snorkeling area is cold water, but they have wetsuits you can wear. It is pricey for one day; we went and spent 2 days at Seaworld and 1 at Aquatica since you get free admission to those with the Discovery Cove visit.

We loved it. We also got our money's worth by going to SW and Aquatica the last time we were there. I have been there three times now. Even if you don't go to the other parks, it is worth it if you really want to swim with the dolphins. You are bunched together with about 8 people and you are with one dolphin. At the end you get to swim out a bit and the dolphin will bring you back to shore.
