thinking about renting points at AKL...parking for a large vehicle?

Hi there, I'm thinking of renting points for a 2BR that sleeps 9 at AKL in late Nov/early December this year. I remember driving into the lot and found that one of the buildings was not really possible to park at with a tall vehicle (my van is about 8'5") tall so parking garages are out of the question. I'd really like to stay at AKL, but don't want to have to walk a mile to our van since we'll primarily be using it to get to the parks. Is there an area/building I should ask for to get parking that isn't under the building since our vehicle can't make it?

It sounds like you'll be booking Kidani? The section that is closer to Jambo house has parking just outside the building. The other wing has savannah outside it so only the parking garage close to the rooms. Being near the Timon or Zazu elevator should put you in the section with the open parking lot. What I haven't paid much attention to is how it is to get into that area but I think they don't have any vehicle height restrictors until the spot where you attempt to go into the underground parking.

Yep!

I don't think you have to enter the structure to get in there; I was able to get out of that area without entering the structure.

And I felt that the parking spaces were nice and *wide*, too, outside. Though I was in a Corolla, and I generally drive a Grand Marquis, so everything felt big compared to the little Corolla.
