Don't let the jerks get you down!!! My poor little girl spent tons of hours making a game and then some jerk accepted her prize of a heart rug and told her that her prize sucked and some other equally ugly things. It broke her heart and she cried a lot. She wasn't one of those to ask for payment, but just wanted to make a game.

I am guessing that a similar thing happened to you - a jerk said something ugly to you. And you are a very sweet person. So don't let that person win!! Stay with us and realize that YOU are a better person, in spirit and in life, because you would never say those things to anyone else!

Just remember that for every one not nice player you run into there are a lot of really nice people out there! We're not all going to be friends with everyone. Don't worry about the people who are mean to you. The people who are nice to you are more worth your time!

If you want to stay in vmk, stay! It is your choice; your decision. But if you quit while you still want to play, guess who is making all the decisions now. Be your own boss and remember that in this virtual world, no one can be in control of you. Every person has a flame burning inside them and it takes work to keep that flame going. Feed your flame and keep it shining brighter than ever. Don't blow it out. Words can hurt and the best bandage to heal such wounds is to stay with those people who are your good friends. If that doesn't work, laugh! lol. (sometimes the most random laughing can start an unforgettable memory lol) Keep this in mind, even without arms or legs, it is still "just a flesh wound"! lol

Another useful tool is the "ignore" feature located in your User CP. If there is someone you do not want to receive message from you can block them by using this. Look on the left side, under Misc.

The others have given you great advice though, ignore the people who enjoy being mean to you, and concentrate on all the great people you know. Don't let a few spoil your fun!

Puppy - do not sweat what someone says. Remember sticks and stones may break your bones - but mean comments and rudeness can never harm you. It may get you upset, but just remember that people are that are doing that to you in this forum and posting mean notes to you display their own weaknesses. They feel strength in bullying here - but in the real world - probably are lonely.

Don't let one person who's being a jerk make you quit. As stated, then that person is in control. Not you.

I also look at it this way: You're not going to be friends with everyone in the virtual world. There are jerks there as well as nice people and your friends.

But There is the same thing in the real world. You will never like or be friends with everyone in this world. So are you going to quit life because of a few idiots? I don't think so. So why would you do it in your virtual world?

Just ignore them or laugh when they insult you. It will ultimately confuse them and they'll end up leaving you alone.

to leavmaybe we would not want e vmk or Dis if there werent jerks playing and posting. and it is not just kids, it is many adults that do the same. i am 14 and do not need attention from you... idk why you think it is for attention. when i posted i wanted to leave it was because of the Comments i got from the "real jerks on vmk or dis" -- as you call them. ok, this is going to be my only post about this because i am not even going to get started up again. but does it really make you happy and feel good to make others feel bad??? and especially those that are younger than you??? as i was called before by SOMEONE, they said i am immature but i think i realized it goes both ways! well i am not trying to be mean or start something, but people can change there minds about things last time i checked. so please give it a break and stop discrimating people because it is joy for some people. well Puppy do not let these posts get to you because it is going to happen over and over. so just let them go and move on

i got the same messages many times from the same people so just let it go they are just trying to make you mad. so just be with your real friends and have fun! let them go and move on as many have said before in there posts.

As a dis boards member, a vmk player, and disney fan, it is only out of my spirit and mind that I listen to and care about fellow dis'ers/vmk'ers. Quite frankly, I could care less if he was looking for attention or if he was seriously considering leaving vmk. That is not the point here, the point is someone has said and done something to upset another member (who evidently becomes a friend before an enemy) It is in my best interest and I am sure other's as well, that I try to encourage him to stay and make sure he understands that there are so many more people who will listen to him; let him understand that not everyone is only concerned only about themselves. What I am trying to say is, there was a point when he thought about really leaving. Whether that thought lasted a minute, an hour, or has not yet left, he did in fact feel as if he had to leave what should be considered a friendly and enjoyable online game.

Besides the obvious (what was typed out) I think the op brought something to the attention of other dis boards members; that the level of rudeness in vmk has reached such a point where it brings a kid the urge to quit. Now, you can say, oh he is just trying to bring attention to himself, but looking deeper into the message I see more than him trying to direct attention his way. Of course, that is just my opinion.

I also feel as if everyone deserves the caring and understanding words of people who truly want to help. Now, there are few times where I have ever talked to the op, but he is a member of the dis, a fellow disney fan, and someone who has never said or done anything agaisnt me. I don't see why he doesn't deserve any less encouragement than those other 5 you claim to have read about. I don't want anyone to leave vmk due to players who simply must "bully" others around, even if he wasn't seriously considering leaving (of which he has stated; that only a small part of him wanted to leave) The point is and has already been mentioned here, that the increasing amount of the "annoying" things in vmk has brought some people to the point where they needed to "breathe". I think the op had the right and need to post what he did and therefore deserves some thoughts. The dis boards is a place to share ideas, opinions, thoughts and emotions with other people who more likely than not, understand.

Before saying how someone feels (stating directly that he/she is "posting for attention") I find it best to first know that person. Otherwise, it is best to accept how that person may have felt. However, that is just me.
