Hi, can anyone tell me there experiances at Disney in November? We are thinking about going the week before Thanksgiving. How are the crowds, weather ect? We are planning on givng this trip to our kids as a Christmas present any good ideas on how to present it? Thank's!!:wizard:

I would love to hear what other people have to say as well, as we are planning on going in Nov of 08 with an 11month old and a 4 year old.

If you mean the week that *includes* Thanksgiving, it will be crazy busy. If you mean the week of the 16th-21st, it should be much calmer.

It is the perfect time to go!! Our most favorite. Here's why, you get great weather, usually uper 70's, low 80's, you can still swim during the day, no rain, super low crowds because you come AFTER F&W festival, Jersey Week, Super Soaps weekend, and Vet's day, and you leave BEFORE the Thanksgiving crowds arrive. In 2008 Thanksgiving is later, I believe the 27th, so you should be there well after all the events that take place earlier in the month. I have been taking my kids since they were 9 and 8 months old. Now they are 9 and 4 years old and we love our Nov trips the most. You do need to pack a lightweight jacket for the evenings because it sometimes gets a little cool. I also bring 1 pair of pants for each of us just in case. Here's another plus, you get to see the Xmas decorations!!! MVMXP usually starts the second week of Nov so you could catch that too as well as the Osbourne lights. You get to see the resorts all decorated too, it is really beautiful. We'll be there again this Nov and can't wait. I was able to get all my ADR's for when I wanted and snag great rates for airline tickets too!! If you have anyother questions just ask!!! Happy planning!!:thumbsup2

Oh, about a way to present the trip as a present, there has been a lot of threads on that topic in the past I would do a search. Sorry I can't be of more help on that. This trip in Nov. we are surprising the kids. I told them we had to cancel our plans and are going in April. They were upset, but OK with it. I plan to pick them up from school early and telling DD(9) she has to go to the dentist!LOL Then I will video tape her in the car as we tell her, change of plans, we're going to the airport to go to WDW!! I can't wait to see their reactions.

I forgot to add that the NJ teachers convention is on Nov 6 & 7 of 2008. *Usually SS weekend is that weekend, so that would be the 8th & 9th. Then the 11th is Vet's day and I would expect F&W to be over by that week. So, it looks like the week of the 16th-21st would be perfect. I would just make sure to leave the weekend before Thanksgiving, that would be the 22nd-23rd because the crowds start arriving full force!!

Thanks so much for the info! Looks like that will be the perfect time to go, cant wait!!!!!

Im also going to attempt my first November trip in 08... But..it'll probably be the beginning...My fiances bday is the 9th...and my oldest daughters is the 10th.
