Thinking about giving tickets as gift HELP!

We're taking a trip to WDW in january, my DH would really like to do Universal/IOA but I don't want to. I'm thinking about sending him with our son for just one day so they can do it. Do you think a single day is worthwhile? What all will I need to plan for him to make it go off without a hitch? What are my transportation options to get them there from the airport? TIA!

Is it early January? One day during peak season might not be a good idea, but during the slower part would certainly work!

Universal is always worth a visit. I’d encourage all of you to go- and have an open mind. It really is a top notch park!
But, if you want to gift it then at least he and your kiddo will get to have a new experience and some fun. One day is better than no days, imo. Buy them Express Passes to really make it awesome.
They can easily take Uber or Lyft if they have smart phones. Super easy, affordable and plenty of drivers around. I wouldn’t waste my money on scheduled transfers. Super unnecessary with the availability of ride sharing.

I went last week of January thru February 1-3 and very low crowds this year

Stay away from Saturday and Sunday as weekends bring in more locals if the weather is nice

For the first time visitor, one day will be rushed
Study the park maps and have an idea of what is a must do
Read UO website about the rides and shows

Two days at that park would be great
They can cover high lights of both parks and do everything on their list

Coming from
Mco to UO many options for transportation star shuttle , über / Lyft, taxi, private car service and car rental

Park is still pretty busy on Jan. 6....but could be worse.
