thinking about first add on

I have been reading that when you do an add on you must have the same use year as you original contract. My question is: Does an add on mean only buying at the resort you origionally purchased at or any resort? Can you just buy a whole new resort at a different use year? Maybe I don't understand this whole add on thing?????? I just know I NEED more points!!!!!!!!!!

Add-ons need to be the same Use Year, but can be any resort, with your Use Year available. If you buy resale it does not matter. If you buy enough points, 150 I believe, you can get a separate contract and then Use Year and resort do not matter.
I know what you mean, we have barely owned a year and done three add-ons - 2 resale and 1 through Disney.

When i added on i got the same user year so the points are availible the same month.I bought 150 points at the beach club while my first home resort is the wilderness lodge villas. Now i have two home resorts. It cuts down that 11 months thing down. I now have two 11 month choices. See how that works out.
