My wife and I were thinking about purchasing a resale and I was wondering if the number of points needed for a room increases from year to year. We were looking for a small number of points and I was wondering if the points we buy today will allow us the same room in the future.
For example, if a studio at boardwalk is 15 points a night this year will it be the same in 10 years, or will I have to keep adding points each year to be able to stay a set number of days.

The number for a night might change say 12-02 is 15 points now in 5 years they change 12-02 to 16 points .They would then have to take a point from another night.

So yes points could change but the entire year has to stay the same .As in lets say it takes 4000 points for a studio for the year they can move those 4000 point where they see fit but they can't make them 5000 .

I hope this helps

And to put your mind at ease, Disney has only adjusted DVC a point schedule once in its 14 year history (OKW, I believe). And as pointed out, if something goes up, something else must go down as the total points charged for a resort cannot go up.

thanks for the help, we are looking at 100 points to the boardwalk or saratoga. We have not seen saratoga yet, we have stayed at the dolphin and likeed the boardwalk atmosphere.
