our January Discovery Cove. We have been 5 times and always go in Nov. Temp are perfectually warm I am a little scared for January. I dont think my husband and I want to be in wetsuits allday. Kids wont mind. For 900.00 I not so sure but Iwill have to buy a one day seaworld ticket if I decide not to. Oh I dont know what to do the only good thing is I have til Dec. 1 to cancel and could always take a chance and wait til I get there to book if the weather is warm. What would you do?:confused3

I probalby wouldn't go in January but that's me. We've been twice in July and the fish pools still feel cold to me. On the other hand it would not be as crowded so that's a bonus if you don't mind the wetsuit all day or on and off.

I've been in late December before. Florida weather is fickle. Even in the winter, it can get pretty warm comparatively.

Needless to say, in the middle of December when I went it was pretty chilly. There was steam coming off the pools in the morning, it was pretty neat. Double layered on the wetsuit and stayed mostly in the water (rather than the aviary). The water was warmer than the air, which made it more appealing than standing around in the cold.

If you DO go, take warm clothes to change into afterwards. Especially a nice warm fleece jacket for when you first get out of the water.

I was kinda used to it, because I was also working there at the time and spending a lot of days wading in the water with a camera over my shoulder. But... admittedly, I didn't stay as long on my winter visits as I did during summer trips... (I also was just coming off a cold on the worst of the Dec. ones, so I didn't want to push it)... but I think it was perfectly fine. If you're from a cooler climate anyway, it shouldn't be too bad.

But it's your call! =)
