I have never been to WDW before. I've been wanting to go for years now (I've been to DL many times, but WDW sounds like a bigger experience). We were planning a trip for my little sister through Make-A-Wish, but she died before the trip happened (before it had even been scheduled).
Anyway, I'm turning 21 in March. Over the summer a few friends and I were going to go to Las Vegas. But now I'm thinking I may want to dip into my savings, a bit, and go to WDW as a birthday present to me instead (I'm thinking early August 2008). My sister died three days before my birthday- so they day itself isn't going to be happy, and we used to celebrate my birthday in August due to scheduling conflicts, anyway.
So, do you guys think it's worth A) the extra money and B) to go alone my first time (I'm not bothered by being alone- just that I might be overwhelmed by all there is to do).
I already have some arguments to tell my parents if I choose WDW. A) I don't really enjoy gambling, B) I've seen LV so many times that there will be nothing new aside from drinking and gambling C) I won't be on a five-hour road trip with other young people (high risk of crashing) and D) I've been waiting to see WDW for so long.
Thanks in advance,
-Alisa
PS I forgot to mention that after this upcomming summer I will not be able to travel for the next two summers due to internships. After that, I have to get a job. So this may be my last opportunity to go for a few years.
