I am a planner and already thinking about 2018 trips. I have three ideas going which one is the best. It will be two people me (34) and my mother.

option 1
4 day dream cruise and 3 days on property at WDW (been to Nassau before but didn't get to see a lot of it didn't realize you have to stay on board till your excursion started first cruise ever)

option 2
7 day fantasy cruise to St Thomas and Tortola (been to St Thomas twice before but haven't been to Tortola yet)

option 3
7 day RCCL cruise to St Marten and San Juan (been to ST Marten and San Juan but didn't get to see much of San Juan (my mom decided to go and break her wrist so I had to get her back to the fantasy so it cut the day short))

For me, with those choices, I'd do option 3. Reason - I've not been on RCCL yet, or to San Juan.

How much do you want to do WDW? If it's been a while and you're itching to go back, I'd pick option 1. If WDW is kind of "been there, done that" for you, I'd pick option 2, and do an excursion to see the Baths off Tortola.

Unless you live in Florida (WDW easily accessible for a day trip or weekend), I would pick option 1. Double the fun, since they are two different experiences :)

Question though. Did I understand you correctly; you did not get to see a lot of Nassau because you were not allowed off the ship until it was time for your excursion?

It was our first cruise and the ticket said to be at a certain spot at a certain time and they took us off the ship. We live in Texas but was at WDW few weeks ago for the Mickey Christmas Party. We usually drive so we spend one day at the park after the cruise but we will be flying this time. So spending time at the park is not new to us
