Ladies, I am turning in my resignation tomorrow morning!

I have been in my current job for almost 12 years. And I mean IN my current job. I have the same responsibilities I did when I went to the company when I was 25. I have asked repeatedly to be given more responsibility, and I have proven I can handle things, but I have never been given the opportunity to be more or do more. :(

So, I am going to my DH's architectural firm as a full time controller. :cool1: I will also be initiating and running (by myself) our new real estate development company. :cool1: :cool1: I may fall on my face, but I am going to at least try. :woohoo:

Who knows how my current employer will take this :confused3 . So wish me luck!!!

Good luck, Cherie! Hope it goes as smoothly as possible!

Congratulations on taking this big step! Good luck!

Good Luck and lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

It is a BIG step you are taking
DH did the same thing from one job to another about 6 years ago best thing he ever did
I wish you the same good luck and success

Let us know how it goes

Wow! So cool! You are very brave. Good luck with the new path you are on. Take a deep breath. You'll be great, I'm sure! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Congratulations for taking such a big step. Sometimes the decision itself is the scariest part and it's really brave to make that decision. And you sound like you have a great plan in place.

Well, just to let you all know. I have just come out of "the meeting". Everything went well. I wasn't fired on the spot, and I was actually thanked for giving a month's notice. Overall, it was okay...uncomfortable, but okay.

Yeah! Now to see the reaction when the whole department hears...

Thanks for the pixie dust, guys!

Good for you!! Life is way too short for you to settle for less than you want, especially when you know you can do more. Best of luck with your new job and hope this last month with old one is stress free!

Glad to hear it went well. Brighter things are ahead :sunny:

I was wondering all day how it went!!! :)
Glad it went well...

I was wondering about you today! How are you holding up? I remember submitting my resignation from my teaching job. Super hard. Awkward, too. But I moved on (it was past time), got pregnant and here I am. Wahoo! :lmao:

Good for you!!!! The hardest part is over!!!

The Best is Yet to Come!!!!!

Good Luck and Happiness!
