Think I need to cancel our cookie sales--brrr

Our Girl Scout troop is supposed to have their "Spring Booth" sales outside of Starbucks and a local restaurant this morning. I'm in the Chicago area where the high is supposed to be 7 degrees but with the windchill factor, I'm sure it will feel much lower. Nobody has called me about cancelling but I can't imagine those girls and their mom's standing outside to hawk cookies.
Would you cancel? I don't want to be a weenie but it seems to dangerously cold out.

I wish I could sell you cookies but I'm pretty far south from you. I have cartons of cookies in my dining room that I'm dying to get rid of. We'll be in the Woodridge area and we'll be selling them on the weekends, outside, for the next 3 weeks.

And besides, who is going to stop long enough to purchase cookies?

That was my husband's point. He said that nobody is going to want to stand outside long enough to make a transaction. I'm calling the girls. If they still want to sell, I'll show up with the cookies but I'm going to give them an out. My nose hairs froze just by opening the door to let the dog out! It's too cold for me.

We went to Walmart last night with temps in the low 20's and the girls were out. They were all bundled up pretty good. I felt so bad for them I bought 4 boxes. But if it was my little girl we would be staying home.

ok i am going to come to woodridge in the next few weeks. we actually l live down on the Naperville/Aurora line now and i work in Naperville!!!

I NEED girl scout cookies!! A lady a work was selling them but apparently she forgot to tell a few of us!!!

I am also a Girl Scout Leader, while we are not doing a booth sale this year, we've done them in the past.

There is NO WAY I would have them do an outside sale today. NO WAY.

The temp maybe 7 or so, but what is it going to be with the windchill factor?

I agree with the other posters stay home it is going to warm up this week and you can go next weekend. by the way you have the cutest family!

For us I think we'd cancel because it would be too cold outdoors, but if you could perhaps ask the retailers if you can set up shop inside due to the weather. GL!

Thanks for the support and compliments on my family. I use that picture because it's the best one of all of us. We don't really look like that anymore
One mom didn't seem too happy that I was cancelling. I told her that with the windchill it was about 25 below. She said "Oh, did they change the forecast?" Good grief woman, take a step outside and tell me if you want to stand there for an hour!
