Think Happy Thoughts for Me

Long story, but dh and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving Day. We really wanted to do something for our anniversary, but want to spend Thanksgiving with our family. All of my extended family is planning on getting together in Austin, Texas for Thanksgiving (my grandmother just got moved into a new nursing home there and we all want to be there to see her and spend Thanksgiving together.) Anyway, I had told DH I really wanted to go to WDW for our anniversary w/o the kids, but he didn't think it was a good idea. Yesterday, he finally told me if that was what I really wanted, look into it and see what I could find. Well, we are DVC members, but I didn't think I could get anything there, because they are usually sold out, but I can get a room from Nov. 30 - Dec 4 at PO Riverside for only $377 (I will call DVC tomorrow, just in case). We can also get flights for about $220 rt each. The worst thing is, we are still going to drive on Wednesday to Austin (10 hours), spend Thanksgiving there, and drive back home on Friday and possibly go to WDW on Saturday. Lots of things still have to work out, like my dh changing his vacation schedule.

Everyone please keep fingers crossed. I really want to go while decorations are up and I can go to CP and MVMCP.

I hope all your plans gp the way you want. That sounds like a nice celebration for your anniversary plus you will be able to see your grandmother for Thanksgiving. Good luck

thanks, but now hubby says he is having doubts about going to WDW w/o the kids. We will find out in a couple of days about the vacation change and then he will have to decide for sure. I know the kids will be disappointed about not going (they have said so) but they seem to be ok with it. Don't know what will happen.
