Think Dining Plan will still be around in 2009

We are already planning our 2009 trip to Disney. I hope the dining plan will still be available. We LOVED it this past August and we didn't even get it free.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Very very hard to tell this far out.

We are planning our 2011 trip already!! We also hope it is still around. We are going in September and plan on getting it whether we are lucky enough to get it free or pay for it.

We are also planning a 2009 trip and am looking forward to the DDP, if it's still here.

There has always been some form of dining plan, we used a coupon type system clear back for our honeymoon in 1975 (That was before people went to WDW for honeymoons, we were considered most odd)

Since then we have gone through a great many forms of the plans, some better than others, but always a better value than just paying OOP.

I disagree. This is the first Dining Plan that worked out better than paying OOP for us.

kaybird - i agree. With the exception of a couple camping trips and my senior trip my family has always been on some sort of disney dining plan and we always have "spent" more at disney than it cost us to purchase the plan - however sometimes that had to do with the fact that recreation was included in nearly all the dining packages we chose but overall it was definitely a savings to OOP.

I am confident that there will several package options that include dining for the foreseeable future - will they be as a great a deal as the DDP seems to be, who knows.
