...if I hung a sign on the door to the "secret" deck 7 aft verandah that says "Do not enter" during our three-peat cruises?!?! That way, hubby and I would have the whole thing to ourselves :p :p :p :p :p
Well, okay, now I can't get away with it because there will be other DISers on the cruise, and you will be onto me...but I suppose we could share a little :jester: :jester:
I'm getting really excited and slaphappy because I'm just starting the final stage of my compulsive planning. I know those docs. will be here any day now, and then I'll really be over the edge! I love the 7-day, but I can't even imagine what being on the Wonder for 10 days will be like.

HMmmmmm ... you are on to a pretty good idea there. Hey .. I make great signs. :-)

I was lucky enough to get the secret deck 7 area to myself 3 different times last year. It's very cool! One time I headed there but there was one girl out there by herself sunbathing, so I didn't want to disturb her (even though she was gorgeous!!) ;)

That's why we booked a cat. 3 this year - so we can have that big verandah area to ourselves! (And our DIS friends, of course!)

Actually, I think the verandah for 8102 is bigger than the deck 7 area!

Gee, Barb... after what you revealed about your experience with the Navigator's Verandah, I'm not sure we want to know why you want to put that sign on the door to Deck 7 Aft!!! LOL!

LOL! Give it a try! ;)
Actually, I was quite disappointed on our cruise. We went to check that area out on the last night and the door was locked. Oh well, thats something I missed, so I guess we will have to go back again. :)

Not sure if I am remembering this correctly, but I thought by the door that there was a sign saying the area was open until either 9 or 10 p.m. ..

Ahhhh, thanks for the info, prymsu! I didnt notice a sign, but that doesnt mean it wasnt there. Either that or Barb & Tony had just locked themselves out there. ;) :D

When I saw the title of this thread and that the poster was Barb, that was my first thought! Just remember, Barb, people can look down on that Deck 7 aft area from the deck outside Beach Blanket Buffet (or Topsiders on the Magic)!

Ok Barb
I guess if I ever see the sign hanging I will
not bother you and Tony. But sure hope I
get to say Hi to you both some day.
Have a great cruise, correction ANOTHER
great cruise.

Barb try Emergency exit only
that should do or Crew only peter

taswira,
You took the word right out of my mouth!
That's why I prefer stateroom 5650, even tho' the farthest aft staterooms on decks 6, 7, and 8 (the handicapped rooms) have larger balconies. There is no privacy on those, but 5650 is larger and sort of enclosed ;) (not that we've ever taken advantage of that privacy...there are still nextdoor neighbors who could be lurking around). No wonder hubby keeps lobbying me to book a navigators verandah again one of these days!

From Dave's post on here, I'm under the assumption that during my DIS hiatus I've missed some interesting gossip. What's the story about the Nav. veranda? Darn, I knew I shouldn't have taken a break from DIS!;)
And I haven't even gotten close to the cruise portion of our trip report. Guess I'd better keep up with DIS!

There was some discussion as to whether the Category 7 Navigator's Verandahs were sufficiently private for married couples to "enjoy" the privacy. Barb revealed that she and Tony had "enjoyed" the verandah, under the assumption that these verandahs were sufficiently private.

Interesting topic...

We have a huge verandah in #8102 this year, and have considered the possibility of, um, 'enjoying' it together... or at least nude sunbathing. But I think it's visible from the upper decks! Uh oh... ;)

"Hey buddy, put down that camcorder!!!"

The door/s that lead to the secret verandah, are they metal? I've got magnetic paper which makes great signs. I like the "Crew Only" version. I've got 8 days to make up my mind...should I do it or not...Maybe I'll just make the sign...and decide when I get there. I think a 10 year marriage deserves...no... requires a bit of excitement.

Sorry I missed that post!;)
We had a very large veranda on our cruise and I can assure you it was far from private. It certainly wouldn't have been private enough to "enjoy" ourselves! Since it wasn't a nav. ver., the dividers allow space so "the neighbors" can easily see in (not to mention the 4 kids in the room!) I even saw a "neighbor" or two peeking around the dividers!:p

Thanks again for filling me in!
