OK, it's raining REALLY hard outside. I walk out on the back porch to watch the rain coming down. On my neighbors patio, I spot my bullfrog. Now what is he doing outside of the pond??? :confused3 I have to get him and put him back. I go inside for a rain jacket, maybe gone 2 minutes at the most. I go back outside and he is GONE!!! :sad2: I grab a flashlight and lo and behold there he is, going between our homes!!! Has anyone ever tried to catch a bullfrog??? Not easy. Boy can they jump! I do get him, give him a lecture, and return him to the pond. I have had him since a tadpole, at least 3 years. He is like a part of the family  . I would be heartbroken if anything happened to him. I really don't believe that he would have found his way back to the pond.
Here he is....

Now this is funny! Thank you for the early morning laugh. What a wonderful visual image of you wandering around with a flashlight to find your frog!!! Hope he stays put!

Occassionally my pond hosts a frog, but after a season or two it leaves. I'm always excited when we have one, and when it goes away, I always think to myself "Froggie's gone a'courtin."

Don't have one now.

That's funny! He must really like your pond to stick around for 3 years. My kids would love to have a resident frog. We probably need a pond for that though.

Glad you got your froggie back!

Last night DH was walking outside by the garden and felt something POP!!! as he under his foot down. It was very dark so he didn't stick around to see what it was.
This morning we found out. :sad2: It was one our toady friends!!!! Eeewww. Little guy was out for a stroll when along came big foot.

I haven't seen my frog for several days :sad2: . When he did his first runaway stint it was during a hard rain. Well, it rained fairly hard several days ago. I hope he didn't take off!!! I will check on him every night(that's always when I see him).

You know Deb, the first time he left and I saw him on the neighbor's patio, I wasn't too keen about grabbing him. I thought, what if it is a toad and not my Kermie???? :scared1: :crazy2:

I'm thrilled, a small frog found my pond! I went out to look at the fish, and he's small and on a lily pad.

I'm disappointed with the water hyacinths that we bought this year. Not one flower so far and hardly any new growth.

wdwmom2, I hope you find your frog, or a new one sets up residence!

Yep, I think froggie went a courtin'!!!! I never have had good luck with water hyacinths and getting them to bloom, so I don't buy them anymore.
