Things we must do at BCV

When you meet someone staying in YC or BC, ask them how much they paid for their room and try not to snicker. :rotfl2:

Hang out by the fence at SAB and heckle the BWVers on Surreys with "We can swim at your pool, but you can't swim in ours!

Go swimming in the lake. :fish:

And finally, walk all the way through Epoct to check out OUR Leave a Legacy tiles. :worship:

Too funny!!!

:rotfl2:

Gosh, I love my BCV!!!!

I promise I will do my best to stay away from that show :earseek:

BTW, I live in "Trader" Jack McKeon's hometown, Burlington NC. He is just like what you see him at the games and on TV, a regular guy. We used to see him eating out at our local cafeteria before he started managing the Marlins. Nice guy. Yall are fortunate to have him down there. Like to see him do good, though I hope he doesnt whip up on my Braves tonight. Dontrelle is pitching so not a lot of hope for my team.

I like to get a Guiness at Rose n Crown and hang out in the Pub or catch British Invasion performing. It's a short walk from BCV. Of course, some people prefer men in kilts. Off Kilter performs at Canada, which is just next door to England.

O2B@BCV!

People have already posted a lot of great ideas.

Here are a couple of more.

From the dock behind the Yacht Club (just next door to BCV's) there is a boat dock. From there you can take a boat to: Epcot, Boardwalk, and MGM Studios. Even thought it is faster to walk to Epcot and the Boardwalk, you might want to take the boats if your tired or want to try something different.

Also, you can walk from the BCV's to MGM Studios (just imagine taking a break from boats and busses to get somewhere). We have done this twice. It is a bit of a walk, maybe about 20 to 30 minutes or so, but it is a nice walk, and gets you away from the crowds for awhile.

The last item isn't specific to the BCV's, but since you leave from the Yacht Club dock, I will mention it. There is an "Illuminations Crusie". You can find many postings about it. It is a bit on the expensive side, but the boat holds 10 to 12 people, so you can split the cost with others. The Illuminations Crusie leaves from the Yacht Club Dock, drives around for a bit, then parks under the bridge, in Epcot between England and France, and then takes you back to the dock afterwards. The view of Illuminations is very good. We have done this once, and enjoyed it. However, it was a bit costly, and we probably won't do it again, or at least not for a couple years.

Thats about it. Most of all, relax and enjoy your stay,

7. Go out back and sing along with the British Invasion show at Epcot.
6. Go to Beaches & Cream at a slow time and flirt with the servers.
5. Rent a surrey bike on the Boardwalk, and when you get to the big hill, say you're tired, get out, and make your spouse peddle up the hill him/herself. (DW did this to me, leaving me to peddle myself and two children up the hill! On the third lap!)
4. Go down to the quiet pool and make the towels into towel animals. See if you can make a towel-alligator. Be sure to first use any towels placed to reserve deck chairs.
3. If you're there at Christmas time, lick the chocolate carousel when nobody's looking.
2. When you walk through the lobby after swimming at SAB, make your wet feet slap on the floor as loudly as possible.
1. I can't believe no one has mentioned the oval! Go check it out, run a lap, and absorb the karmic energy while sitting at one of the foci (look it up!)

Thank you so much for asking this question! We too are staying for our first trip home at BCV 12/1-5. The waitlist has come through for all but one of our days! Yeah! We can't wait! We are going to suprise our 5yoa with this trip. She thinks that she isn't going to get to go until she's 6. I am just as excited about suprising her with the trip as I am going. Our ds will be 2 and I think he will have a blast at SAB - so much so that we won't have to leave to go to a water park.

Thanks for all of the wonderful answers to the OP's question. It has really helped us out also.
